I’m delighted with this gun. I already owned the 3.3” barrel version, but have been looking for the 4” barreled version. Both guns are exceptionally accurate for their size. Recoil is quite manageable. The short grips are still long enough to give me a full grip on the gun, even with the flush 6 round magazine. Concealment is very easy with nothing more than a loose fitting shirt. A spare 7 round magazine gives you 14 rounds of .45 ACP. I hope to never be in a situation that I need more. I can’t say the Performance Center trigger is really better than my non-Performance Center version with the shorter barrel. That probably says more for the standard trigger than anything negative about the PC guns. M2.0’s just have very nice triggers. While this review is about the 4” PC gun, the 3.3” non-PC is just a great gun too. I’m glad to have both. I’m emotionally comfortable with either one on my hip.

I recently bought this S & W 45 ACP and shoots without an issue. Very accurate and comfortable grip. I took advantage of the $75 rebate that was offered at the time. Bud's handled the transfer quickly without a hitch.

The pistol itself is good. The trigger is a bit stiff, but loosened up after break-in. This pistol disappears when carrying OWB! Very thin, light weight, decent sights. The front fiber optic is overrated (IMHO). Felt recoil is far less than anticipated with minimal muzzle rise. Reset is good, but not as sharp as I expected. Follow-up shots are fairly fast. Buying process did not go smoothly, but the firearm itself is worth the purchase.

Another excellent product by S&W. Fits my large hands very well. It has a slim profile which makes concealment easier. Excellent trigger, fiber optics sight and low recoil make this a joy not just to carry but shoot as well

Love this compact handgun and it stays on my nightstand when I'm not admiring it or taking it to the range. Shoots surprisingly well for such a compact 45.

My favorite version of my favorite gun. Initial impressions: The 4” has better balance as compared to the 3.3” I’ve owned since it first came out, and the PC trigger is light and smooth straight out of the box. Have not yet shot this, so will update once I have gone to the range and ran a 100 rounds through it.

Initially when I received my new Shield 45 PF, it had nothing but problems. failure to loads were happening literally right out of the gate, after every other round. I put several mags through it which multiple types of FMJ and Personal Defense ammo. I cleaned it thoroughly, went back to the range and still the same issue. I had to send it back to S&W for a warranty repair, which took about 5 weeks total time. Since receiving it back, it's been flawless (knock on wood). Repair ticket said range tested and passed after inspection and polishing the barrell and ramp. I was skeptical as having read others with this issue who still had problems after that same repair, but so far so good. I'm not confident enough to make it my EDC after putting dozens of mags through it since.

Ashley ordered this pistol for me and I picked it up about a week later.Love this new shield.Great trigger 4in. barrel makes big difference in sight picture and control.First 50 RDS. All in 10 circle at 7 yards.Great pistol and cordial service .Great summertime carry gun.Thanks Ashley and Buds.
