Yes this is California compliant. Single action revolvers that have atleast a 5 round capacity, with a barrel length of atleast 3 inches and overall Length of atleast 7.5 inches are permitted. Can you covert a 6 shot to a 9 nine shot cylinder

Ronald, not easily Sir. The timing gear is different and would require a good bit of modification. Cheers and stay safe!. The 9 shot cylinder can ONLY be used in a 9-shot Rough Rider. If you have a 6-shot Rough Rider you CANNOT drop in the cylinder. The timing will be off due to the internal design changes.

Ronald, no, Heritage does not make a 9 shot cylinder for the Barkeep. They do make a 9 shot Rough Rider.

Has anyone shot the Barkeep and the Wrangler? Does anyone have an opinion on significant differences? Budget is $250 goal is a revolver in .22LR, any other suggestions/recommendations? Thanks

David, I have only shot the Barkeep. I have 3 Heritage Pistols and have been more than satisfied on their performance/quality. The Wrangler or the Barkeep will suite your purposes just fine. Cheers and stay safe!
