This is the most accurate M1911A1 clone I have seen that is still available as a new purchase. I have the previous Tisas clone and, while it is nice, the lowered ejection port is quite obvious. The new version has a more authentic ejection port as well as a more authentic finish. I don’t think the finish is as close to original parkerizing as I would like but it is closer than the cerakote type finish on the previous version. It also has the flat sided hammer as used by all the makers from sometime in 1943 onward while the previous version had the wide spur hammer used on early war Colt guns. All in all, I like it a lot. For the money, it’s a great choice for re -enactors and also nostalgic gun guys like me.

If you are looking for a well built, well priced 1911a1 clone this is the one you want. This version has several updates that the previous U.S. Army clone lacked. This 1911a1 features a parkerized finish while the other version was a cerekote finish. The ejection port was lowered on the previous U.S. Army 1911a1 clone, Tisas fixed that on this version with a small ejection port to be an accurate representation of an original military issued 1911a1. They also changed the markings and this is now marked United States Property just like an original. Tisas includes two 7 round magazines with this and also reproduction plastic grips. I am very happy with this pistol it looks and feels like my Remington Rand and if you too have an original military issued 1911a1 that you don't want to risk damaging, this is the pistol for you.

Great looking gun and extra fast shipping from buds, I will be breaking this one in this weekend and I expect nothing but fantastic results from Tisas, as always, I have several of their 1911s from different variations including the Raider which also I've had spectacular results from, not a jam one or a misfire. The only thing is this one came with only one magazine, I guess I will pick another one up from somewhere.
