One very awesome rifle. Turned around and put the CZ 527 in 7.62x39 in lay -away . This makes my 4-th CZ 2 pistol and two rifles- @ were bought from Bud's.
CZ and Bud's Gun Shop is Awesome.....

I was so excited about getting my first CZ 452 Lux, ordered it online as no one had any nearby. At least so I thought. From all of the reviews and the pics that I have seen, I had hoped for a quality rifle.Upon opening the box, I was at first very disappointed, the stock is nothing but plain, at first, I thought it was beech, but it is walnut. For sure not the Turkish walnut as advertised. But I thought, ok , I can live with that. Just going to hunt squirrels and bunnies with it. The action has to be the stiffest that I have ever felt, on any type of weapon. But again, I thought it'll break in over time. Them we come to the safety, backwards, to some, but no big deal. It is all just what you get used to. I have shotguns with tang safeties, trigger guard safeties, heck I even have a shotgun with no safety. But this thing on the CZ is almost impossible to engage or disengage. Then I find out that the gun will not even fire. Tried with and without mag installed. With and without round chambered. Nothing. the only way it will fire is by holding the trigger and wiggling the safety up and down. So ok , I can touch up those parts a bit to get them to clear each other. I used a small file and then stoned them with a hard Arkansas stone. Thought I had her ready to shoot, although, should you not be able to use it as it comes from the factory? Anyway, went to the range yesterday. It fired one round, and then nothing. And I was certainly not going to stand in the range and start trying to get it to fire by holding the trigger back and fumbling with the safety and then have a round go off by accident. Got it back home and once again took apart the bolt. Only to find that now the safety appears to be hanging up on the striker spring support. The flat on the shaft of the safety is not milled at the correct angle to mate with the flat on the support. Thus it holds the safety at the wrong angle to allow the striker to move forward when pressing the trigger. Not only does this make the weapon useless, but it is dangerous as H3LL to have to fiddle with the safety and then have the weapon fire on its own.
Morel of this story, I will never buy another CZ again. Hope you all have good luck with ours.

Update: CZ-USA refused to replace the stock. Had to buy another one myself. CZ-customer service is below par if you get a bad one and need help.

Rifle has a knot in the wood in the wrist of the stock. Buds is out of stock on these rifles or I would have had it replaced.
Contacting CZ-USA for possible solutions. Not happy

I'd always wanted to own a CZ rifle and saw Buds listing for the no longer manufactured CZ 452 Lux 5+1 22LR. I jumped on it, not wanting to miss the opportunity to buy one. As usual, Buds was flawless with respect to the order and shipping process and it arrived at my local FFL's place in a matter of days.

This weapon is nothing short of beautiful with Sako-like quality workmanship. My son and I took it to our local shooting club last weekend and shot a few hundred rounds of Winchester 22LR HP and Federal 22LR Round-Nose ammo. I was shocked how dead-accurate this weapon was right out-of-the-box. I classify myself as just an average shot and yet was shooting quarter size groupings at 25 yards. The open sights are easy to adjust and calibrated in meters. The Turkish walnut stock is beautifully finished in a low-gloss coating. The balance and "feel" of the CZ resembles that of a much bigger caliber rifle. In short, I've owned a lot of rifles in my life, but none as nice as this.

I think the CZ 452 Lux offer a huge "bang for the buck." You will love this rifle!

Jim

This rifle with factory iron sights shoots dead on every time. Took to range upon receipt and set rear tangent at 50 yards and first round fired was 1/4" off dead center of target. Took to 100 yard range same day, adjusted tangent rear to 100 mark and similar results. After choosing best shooting brand .22 bullet at 100 yards this shoots quarter size groups with open sights. I have never owned a more accurate rifle.

Outstanding rifle! Real tack driver. This was my third CZ rifle and now I will pick up my fourth rifle tomorrow, a Full Stock 22lr. You can buy a less expensive rifle from other makers, but you won't get the beauty and accuracy of a CZ. I purchased all my CZ's from Bud's. I shoot long rifle flint locks in competition and this Lux, with the iron sights is great for me to practice with.

Outstanding rifle! I bought one from Buds and received it in less than 1 week. This .22 can outshoot any other .22 rifle I own.
