use this mag on my Savage B-22. The savage 10 rd mag is difficult to load but this Butler Creek mag is very easy to load with the lever on the side, plus it holds 25 rods and functions perfectly with this rifle. It actually actually attaches to the rifle better than the savage mag.

I dont give one star reviews - here is the exception.
Magazine looks great. Fits great. Doesn't perform great. I constantly had failure to feed from this magazine. The spring would not provide enough pressure to push up the next round before the bolt had cycled. When the spring did manage to get the next round up before the bolt returned, it would jamb it into the feed ramp and either shred a piece of the lead off the nose or ram the bullet into its case. I got very annoyed and thought it may be the rifle and not the magazine. I immediately put in the factory 10rd rotary and fired off all shorts flawlessly. Maybe this mag needs to be underloaded to perform properly or maybe I have a dud with weak spring pressure. Also I was using CCI standard velocity RN. Ill soon be doing testing with other ammunitions and see if that could be my issue, but for now it appears to be the magazines mechanics that are the problem.

Thanks to Bud's Gun Shop for notifying me when this product came back in stock!
I ordered two for my Savage Precision A22 and took them to the range last night. Both ran flawlessly. The fit was perfect and I experienced no issues. If you are looking for 25rd magazines for your A22, these are the one's to get!

It seems a little bigger than the Ruger 10/22 25rd.magazines, but it doesn't get in my way. Rapid firing my Savage A22 with Winchester Super X, 38 grain hollow points, it never failed to load, CCI Mini-Mags as well. It locks in solid with one hand, and no wiggle room. The release on the front of the mag is trigger-like. It drops out fast with one hand, so I can pocket the spent mag, and reload without changing position. That alone is a cut above the rest, and I'm liking it! The thumb button definitely helps with stuffing the magazine, and the way it indicates how many are left is also an awesome feature. Loading the Savage 10 round mags, will leave you looking for any advantage you can find, and this 25 round magazine is easier to load than the factory 10. Locking 2 together should be another awesome feature, but it seems to me that it would take away from the one handed operation and add weight on the clip. Gonna get a couple, 4, or 7 more, and try it anyway! The only con I can see, is when carrying, or in a run and gun situation. Slinging this over a shoulder, or pushing through heavy brush would end up giving this thing a beating. The 10 round mag sitting flush in the stock was actually one of the things that sealed the deal when I chose this over the 10/22, and all of the other semi-auto .22lr's. But for plinking around and not having to reload the 10 round mags, the Butler Creek 25 round magazine can't be beat!
