The M4A1 RIII AR15 style firearm features a fully ambidextrous lower that allows both left- and right-handed shooters to operate the bolt catch, safety selector, and magazine release without having to move or remove their dominant hand from the rifle’s grip. Its GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle is ambidextrous as well. We’ve taken the RIS II picatinny quad rail used on our M4A1 original and replaced it with a 12.5 inch RIS III rail featuring M-LOK attachment for lighter weight while still offering M203 grenade-launcher attachment. The M4A1 RIII is built around a 14.5 inch Cold Hammer Forged Government Profile barrel with a permanently attached Daniel Defense Flash Suppressor. This rifle also comes with the ergonomic Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.
This lighter weight, fully ambidextrous version of our industry-standard DDM4 offers right- and left-handed shooters with even more flexibility and control. A 12.5" RIS III rail provides easy attachment/detachment of M-LOK accessories, and a mid-length gas system provides smooth, reliable cycling while also reducing perceived recoil and wear and tear on parts.

As a blue collar worker it took me some time to save for this, everyone said I was crazy for spending this kind of money on a ar but now that I have it let me tell you, it was worth the wait. I have the mk12 so I knew the quality would be good but the size and weight with the new Rlll rail is a game changer. Received it yesterday, installed a Vortex amg uh1 gen2, ran 200 rounds through it last night and functioned flawlessly and I love everything about it and very accurate. Fit and finish is almost flawless with some gouged screws on the rail, hardly noticeable, everything tight and feels good. The only con is the trigger, on my mk12 it came with a geisley trigger that is super nice, the m4a1 trigger is like walking down a gravel road, barefoot. Each time it broke it felt like it was in a different place, rough and gritty. Pulled it off range, cleaned and oiled again, went back in with same results. Pulled off range and changed trigger to a RA140 ss single stage and it was perfect, accurate, and you knew the break. For what you pay and for the quality of everything else you think they would install a decent trigger. After that groups were tight and everything was perfect. Overall a excellent purchase, Buds was great, Daniel Defense is like no other, excellent ar that I can pass down long after I am gone! Thank you
