After waiting unnecessarily long for Bud's to ship the Banshee to me, I take it to the range and load 20 rounds of 165 grain Federal ammo and start to shoot. Unfortunately, it is a single shot. Every round stove pipe jammed on me. After 6 tries, I unloaded the mag and reloaded with 180 grain CCI Blazer ammo. First 2 shots cycled ok, then it became a single shot again. Stove pipe jammed every 3 out of 4 rounds. After shooting 20 rounds, only 4 cycled, ejected, reloaded properly. This is not what CMMG is known for..... I called them the next morning. A real person answered in under a minute. We discussed the problem and he offered 2 solutions. We could swap the BCG or I could send in the pistol and they would swap the BCG and test fire it. I opted for the I'll swap the BCG since that would take less time and we wouldn't have to do a transfer again. Removing the BCG is part of normal cleaning and lubing anyway.They promptly emailed me a UPS ship label and said I should get a new BCG as soon as they have the old one; fair enough. No manufacturer is perfect. How they handle a problem is important. CMMG has a reputation of making better than average products. Fit and finish of the pistol is very good. They have a reputation of good customer service. No complaints here.
