Introduced in 2008, the P30L (for Long) is essentially identical to the P30 except P30L has a 1/2" longer slide and barrel. Like the P30, the P30L was designed as a modern police and security pistol and combines optimal function and safety. Features include a special grip frame with interchangeable backstrap inserts and lateral plates, ambidextrous slide and magazine release levers, and a Picatinny rail molded into the front of the frame. The extractor serves as a loaded chamber indicator providing a reminder of a loaded chamber that can be subtly seen and felt. An open notch rear sight with luminous (non-radioactive) contrast points allows for fast and accurate target acquisition, even under poor lighting conditions. This P30L is a V1 "Light" LEM trigger system which is a DAO. It does not have an external safety or decocking system.

My first HK pistol...LEM takes some getting used to, but it's a great shooter! Ergonomics are great, factory night sights are awesome too!

Great gun like all Hk weapons tuff and reliable! I suggest to get the gray guns srt kit for the lem version of this gun and it will not disappoint! This Hk is easy to conceal and it’s eats all types of 9mm ammo. The v1 lem version is the best in my opinion in conjunction with the gray guns upgrade you will love it! Thanks buds!

The absolute best of the P30 line up. The Light LEM is a dream trigger, made me want to trade my old DA/SA p30 for it. The sights are very well done on this model. They are much easier to pick up. First gun I’ve ever bought that I don’t feel a want to upgrade! My only complaint would be the backstraps all seem loose to the frame when installed my last p30 didn’t have this issue. Would buy another if I could find one...
