Amazing 1911. Insanely accurate and reliable. Best 1911 I ever owned and I have owned a few. Highly recommend this pistol. Traditional Series 70 fire control system and GI guide rod setup make this a pure 1911.

The Kimber Desert Warrior is a well made quality pistol. Awesome Trigger pull. I've put several hundred rounds through mine with no problems. One of the Kimber magazines that came with mine wont load to full capacity. I ended up get some Wilson Combat 47D magazines to replace the Kimber factory magazines. This is by far my favorite pistol to shoot. It's also my most expensive. I guess the old saying goes... You get what you pay for. Tom

Nice tough finish, handles well, accurate & reliable. I use this for my home defense gun with a surefire x300 & Green Lasermax. It is heavier than average 1911 which is nice to keep the muzzle down. It will go through FMJ, JHP, reloads ammo like no other day.

The Kimber Desert Warrior is a very nice 1911 loaded with custom features. Fit and finish on the product is great. The Kimpro finish was applied nicely and evenly. The pistol is nice and tight, with no frame to slide, and slide to barrel play yet. The bushing was also very tight. I expect the pistol to loosen up after break-in. Night sights were bright and of the 3-dot design. Grips feel good as well. Upon closer inspection I could find very little machining marks with no metal abnormalities, which is what's to be expected from a pistol of this class. The only complaint, which is not very valid, is the magazine. It's a decent mag but I would recommend getting some Wilson Combat 47D or Chip McCormick magazines. The mag that comes with it is a good range mag, but refer to the latter for carry duties. Overall I am very impressed with the Desert Warrior and Kimber's attention to quality. Let's hope that it shoots as well as it looks.

Do yourself a favor and get one of these. I did. It is my most coveted pistol. There is not enough room in this page to say how great it is.
