As usual, Bud's is prompt, courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. The entire process is simple and my pistol arrived in good shape. What can I say about a Smith and Wesson 629 Classic that has not already been said?! I have always wanted a 44 mag so I finally pulled the proverbial trigger and got one. What a blast to shoot!! My son and I tore up targets at 30 feet right out of the box with Hornady 200gr 44 special. Then we dropped in some Hornady 200gr 44 mag. What a huge difference and you better hang on, but it is manageable and SO MUCH FUN to shoot!! I am a retired Marine CWO and spent a summer on the USMC pistol team so I have spent some time shooting. Cleaning weapons was not my favorite activity back then and is still not on my good times list today. I recently switched to Lucas oil products though and they work well. Lucas Oil CLP, a good nylon brush, a rod, some patches, and this weapon was a breeze to clean too. Thanks!!

I absolutely love this sw .44 mag 5" 629. It's my new favorite pistol. I went back and forth between the 5" and the 6.5" barrel. Truly glad I went with the 5". It's easy to shoot. Relatively tame compared to all the hype that's out there. And as always, buds gun shop does an excellent job. Fast shipping and great service!!!

Over the years I have purchased many S&W large caliber revolvers, this is but the latest. S&W makes the finest revolvers in the world. My only complaint is the trigger action from the factory is a bit rough; a trigger job from a reputable gunsmith solves this problem. In my part of the woods, a trigger job cast $45.00; money well spent.

S&W definitely doesn\'t build a revolver like they used to. Frame screws partially stripped and damaged and the licking bolt pin was offset substantially to one side out of the box. Fit and finish is decent but not like they used to be and definitely not like an $800 revolver should be. Only 2 of the cylinder positions stage well double action and has a fairly heavy single action pull, around 5lbs. It\'s going back to Smith and Wesson under warranty and I have a 2-4 week turn time they said. Just a shame, I bought the gun for an Alaskan fishing trip that I may not get to use it on.

I just received my 44Mag in great condition..thanks Bud's. What a great firearm..packs a nice punch, accurate and on target. Shoots great in both single and double..long steady trigger..while shooting with double action..short and crisp with single. Very pleased with Smith and Wesson..very durable. You know you are shooting a large caliber..awesome and it's a blast to shoot. Thanks again Bud's..a repeat customer.

It's an awesome pistol, but it does let you know 44 magnums are hot rounds. The quality is excellent and I find it very accurate. Really happy with the it.
