This is my first rifle and I after a lot of research and deliberation, I made the right choice. It came down to the Marlin and the Ruger 10/22 Take Down. I've put about 200 rounds through it and it shoots as advertised: easy to assemble, accurate and easy to shoot and I like the light weight. t took a little while to figure out how to adjust elevation with the tight spring but other than that I'm very happy. I was looking for a take down because I ride a HD Trike and wanted one that would fit in the back storage and this one fits perfectly. Anyone looking for a 22lr Take Down should give the Papoose serious consideration. I highly recommend it.

This is a neat little rifle. The quality seems very good and it shoots really well. Of course Bud's was excellent too.

This is a neat little gun. I've never had so many people ask me to look at a gun, as this one. Starting with my FFL who said he may buy one. Really a neat concept. I set my target at 50 yards and just put about 75 rounds into it. I had no idea where I was hitting, but figured a whole bunch of rounds would give me a good indication of how accurate I am (my 46 year old eyes are a curse). When I retreived my target I was happy to see all rounds just right of center, and within a 6" pattern. Good enough for me. Cool little weapon, and with the nice weatherproof case (and it floats), I will be sure to take this wherever I can, hiking, kyaking, etc.. I like the hooded front sight, and the lack of a forward stock, surprisingly didn't even factor in to the shooting experience. Pretty neat. Now buy one!
