The Remington TAC 2 is surprisingly heavy when loaded (a little over 10 lbs 6oz with six rounds of buckshot, sling and light attached - hey if you\'re going tactical go all the way)...Cycles very well...not designed for reduced recoil rounds - but as an aside various low impulse flight control buckshot rounds did work. My biggest concern was that the bead sight was installed canted to the right causing an extreme left impact of shot at any distances above fifteen always pattern your shotgun. Wish these came with the same rifle sights available for the 11-87 or 870. I did install ghost ring sights and frankly the TAC 2 has been awesome. Worth the very reasonable cost...plenty of aftermarket support if you like modifying your weapons. Bud\'s service was outstanding.

I researched this model of the Remington 1100 tactical and wasn't able to find very much reliable information on it from people that actually owned them. What information I was able to find seemed to be positive so I took a chance and went ahead and ordered one. I'm so glad I did. I have ran everything from Federal Walmart bulk pack general purpose light target/field loads to Remington and Federal field loads to Federal low recoil tactical 00 Buckshot and Slugs to full power 00 buckshot. It ran like a scalded dog with all of the above. The only round it didn't like was the Winchester white box target loads. My Saiga-12 won't even run those with the gas system all the way open. The recoil is extremely manageable even with the full power 00 buckshot loads. This is one sweet shooter and one very impressive tactical shotgun.

First of all, Buds once again gave great service. The shotgun itself shoots great, except for one flaw. The charging handle flies off. I contacted Remington and they sent be a new charging handle. It flew off after three shots using 00 Buc. It flew off immediately with one slug shot. The gun itself is accurate and feels great to shoot. I Remington also sent me a tension spring which I am having installed. This hopefully corrects the problem.

I am very happy with this shotgun. So far have 65 rounds through it, 54 rounds of various 00Buckshot, and 11 AA #9 shot just for a low brass low power function check. All functioned fine, right out of the factory box (with a little lube around the breech block), shot to point of aim out to 15 yards (the max at my local indoor range) and the gas system tames alot of the recoil. Much gentler than shooting the same loads though an 870. And best of all, made in the U.S.. For what's out there in quality semi-auto 12ga tactical shotgusn, this is a great buy and I think gives you the most bang for your buck. Buds price is the best price around, although I think for the $7.00 I saved using their Make Offer option, they put it to the back of the shipping line behind those paying full price for their purchases. Seemed like kind of sour grapes to me, on Bud's part. Whether that is actually the case or not, the shipping wasn't as fast as normal.

I've had my tact 2 for some time now. It has preformed flawlessly. Buds had it to my local dealer 2 days earlier than expected. Thanks

First let me say that Buds Gun did what they were supposed to, the firearm was shipped quickly, as for the firearm itself it was not in the condition I was Expecting I in no way am blameing Buds for this, I totaly blame Remington arms for thier poor packing of the item. You would figure that a company that has been in business for so long would be aware of how to pack and ship items in a manner in which no damage would be done during delivery, I understant that every company has to cut corners in order to save money but it all boils down to making shure that customers get thier moneys worth. Bottom line Remington failed on the packaging for this shipment. I have since contacted Remington and have demanded that they pay for the shipping cost both ways, and for them to repair the fire arm as quickly as possible. Remington has one shot to fix this hole ordeal, and I hope they fix it right the first time around. The damages on the fire arm are as stated: the finish on the receiver was removed down to the bare metal from constantly rubbing against the shipping box, a peice of felt could have prevented this, also the charging handle was broken, it tore a hole through the box and it most likely was banged up against something during shipping, also on the receiver right above the the chamber there was to large dings, I realy dont know how final inspection let this one go. I will continue to purchase through Buds, an I also would recomend anybody who is looking to purchase a firearm to take the time and look at Buds Gun
