It's great to find the original stainless public defenders. They stopped making these after just a few years aftet release. They still produce the larger frame judges and poly frame public defenders, but the stainless is the best of the best of the public defender line. It's a great shooting revolver with a crisp action and great reliability. I have bought two of them now and absolutely love them for a truck gun, snake gun, or having fun at the range. It also works great as a home defense weapon. There are a good verity of holsters, larger grips, and speed loaders on the market to go with this great collectors item.

I bought the Taurus 4510PD-3SS M4510 Public Defender 5RD 2.5" 410ga./45LC 2.5" in March & finally got the opportunity to shoot it in early June.I was shooting 410 2.5" #9 shot Winchester half ounce.I shot 3 shells & my wife 2 & when I tried to release the cylinder to dump empty shells it would not open.I got it open some time later by dismantling it,cleaned firearm & reloaded & did same thing.Mailed to Taurus & waiting to get it back(may take up to 6 weeks).Sure seems like an awesome little pistol to shoot & own if & when it gets fixed & returned to me.
