The accuracy of this rifle is amazing. Using Federal 168 grain it is rather easy to leave a quarter size hole after 5 rounds at 200 yards. While being the "little brother" in the BA rifle series, it still packs a serious punch. It does take a few rounds to get used to the AccuTrigger, but it helps you maintain a constant routine and discipline (sighting, acquisition, breathing, etc) while shooting at distance. A very happy purchase.

I received my Savage 10BA LE 308 yesterday.....Very nice gun, but..The sight rail screw holes did not fit the holes in the gun barrel..I called your customer service, and was told to simply use only 2 of the 4 screw holes...I knew your service person didn't know what he was talking about, so I called Savage Arms to see if they could help me..The guy at Savage Arms, after I explained the problem, told me that your service guy didn't know what he was talking about...I was happy that I bypassed your no help at all phone person, and went directly to Savage Arms..They are sending me the proper sight rail for the gun....Evidently, the one that came in the box with the gun was for a 300 Win. Mag, or 338 Lapuah........I suggest that you find qualified people that know something about the products you sell to answer the phone...Sincerely, John Edwards

The fit and finish are top notch..Included are two butt pads in differing thicknesses. 168 Sierra match king ammunition-$15/box decent quality optic -$600 hitting quarters at 200 yards -priceless. Buds was awesome to deal with as usual!!

My buddy and I both purchased the Savage 10 BA LE in .308 from Bud's. As always both rifles arrived in a few days. I equipped mine with a NightForce scope and his with a Leopold. After some rough bore sighting and a few adjustments (about 10 rounds) we were both able to hit an 8 inch steel plate at 600 yards pretty much every other shot. This was both of ours first experience with any type of long range shooting beyond 200 yards so we were both impressed. I later took mine to an indoor 100 yard range, Without the wind and after making a few adjustments I was able to hit dead center bullseye with all 4 holes touching and 1 about .5 inches off (I pulled that one). I consistently use 175 grain BTHP ammo to achieve this. I have fired around 80 rounds so far and this rifle is a blast. Now I'm studying up on fine tuning the scope settings for various ranges and doping the wind. The NightForce scope was a bit pricey but this rifle deserves and utilizes every dime. Great rifle and great dealing with Buds. This is my second long gun purchase from them (these 2 and a Smith and Wesson AR). All rifles have been competitively price, arrived quickly and in pristine condition. Great rifles, great company.

The Savage 10BA LE 308 is a first rate rifle with excellent accuracy. The heavy platform is solid and, together with the muzzle break, is has a light felt recoil. The adjustable stock allows you to ajust the comb height and pull length for a custom fit. With Federal gold medal match ammo, 168 grain BTHP, it shoots groups less than a half inch at 100 yards. The rifle is probably more accurate than I am. If you are looking for a solid rifle that shoots very well, then this is an excellent choice.
