I purchased this weapon on Buds, and it arrived this past Saturday. I was immediately impressed with the fit, and finish. What a quality piece! I was comparing it to the Ed Brown my local FFL (who transfered me the firearm) has and I was not disappointed in my new FX45. He even seemed genuinely impressed with it. My did come with a 1/4" scratch on the frame near the trigger guard, but that is my only complaint. I cleaned it up and I haven't been able to put it down since it arrived. I shot it for the first time tonight at an indoor range, about 20 feet distance. 230 gr Rem UMC ammo. Functioned great! Far more accurate than I am. After about 10 rounds I was able to punch the numbers out of the target. I love the trigger - appropriately weighted, with clean break and zero creep. Note: the very first casing hit me in the forehead, but all of the rest went where they should. First round fluke? Break in? I'm over it. No magazine issues whatsoever. Slide locked back every time. I honestly love this gun, and I paid a TOTAL of $417 getting it into my hands. This one just feels like the right size for me; love the 4.25" length with full size grip and 8 rounds. I highly recommend this handgun!

Great gun for the price and as always, Bud's was right on in getting it out and to my dealer!! Trigger is excellent at just a shade over 3 lbs, and accuracy was as GOOD as this old man can muster, 1 inch left, 1 inch low at 15 yards, but 25 rounds into a 1 1/2" hole, combo of slo fire and 5 round rapid fire. Could not be happier and this will be my carry piece come November 1, when Oklahoma's 'Open Carry' goes into effect. Highly recommend this gun to anyone that wants big bore firepower at a reasonable price!

This was my first online purchase. I was told about Buds from my dealer and they have now have a loyal customer. Buds service was excellent. I ordered on a Sunday night and gun in my hands on the following Thursday. With Wednesday being the 4th of July. The pistol was packed in grease and required a good cleaning. Took to the range and the shot hit in the 9 ring from 10 yards. I have been impressed with the accuracy, especally for this price gun. I've no feed problems at all. I've have added a set of Hogue finger groove grips and carry it almost daily. It's a little large for carry in summer but it works for me. I would highly recomend this gun and Buds.

First off Buds was great. Made my frst online gun purchase pain free. Had to do some very deep cleaning as it was packed full of shiping oil/grease. But afer it's first bath I took it out shooting. Only had 1 stove pipe on the very first round. I was a little concerned but it went though many more rounds quckly without another issue. I was very pleased with the setup but I do have plans to upgrade my trigger setup and springs all to Wilson Combat. But if you are looking for a good quality 1911 without breaking the bank. This is definetly the way to go.

My review will be in a few parts, to focus on separate details: 1) Bud's Gunshop - excellent place, great customer service, can't beat the prices and value. I give them individually 4/5 stars, and only 4 for one reason: the 6-day hold on ACH (eCheck) transactions. I simply can't fathom a hold placed on what is essentially a direct bank-to-bank transaction. Once the funds "cleared", shipping was fast and efficient. 2) The gun itself - Excellent piece! Fit and finish are superb, nice and tight, machining and tolerances all excellent. Shoots great, feels great, looks great. One minor issue (and this could be more operator error than anything): I had extreme difficulty getting the mag release to come out of the gun, requiring the application of not insignificant force for final removal. Upon inspection, the locking lug was poorly machined/fit (it was nowhere near flush with the mag catch). I had to spend some time filing down the lug to even get the mag release back into the frame, stripping the screw in the process (the operator error part). 3) ATI's customer service was TOP NOTCH. When I called about the issue above, I indicated that I probably botched the job due to my inexperience with 1911s. The rep didn't even concern himself with the why - he just sent me a replacement, no charge. No questions asked, just sent it. I have not received it yet, but expect to any day. When asked about whether the lug should be flush with the mag release, he indicated it should and that the part was probably not machined/fit properly. Apologized, sent the part. Can't beat that! Overall, I am extremely satisfied. I'll buy from Bud's again, and would buy ATI without reservation.

Received firearm in sealed packaging. Finish was as expected, matte. Frame and slide matched. Disassemble and cleaned completely before trip to the range. Some failure to feed was experienced, but improved when a OE Colt mag was used. After a session of 150 rounds and lack of daylight gun was returned home for another cleaning session. It was during second cleaning when we notice the EJECTOR had started to flare where it contacts the cartridge rim, A replacement from a known maker was order and installed. Another shooting session (150 rds) when the PLUNGER TUBE lock up gun, rear most pin broke in the frame which lead to engaging the safety. Parts are on order again. Weapon was purchase for informal shooting and for CCW. Will have to rate barely a two, time and ammo will tell how good gun is, expect to get what you paid for. Good Luck.
