I have to give this a bad review I\'ve had mechanical problems that have led me to not even attempt to shoot this gun. First is a chambering problem when there\'s a full mag but maybe that\'s just a mag problem. The slide also doesn\'t fully return when a round does finally get in the chamber. And the barrel is so tight it\'s hard to put back together after my initial cleaning it was almost too tight to rack the slide it\'s the most stiff slide I\'ve ever seen.

Keep in mind the price - lower than most polymer pistols. I wasn't expecting much, my previous experience with 1911s being 3 Kimbers of various "specialness" and my grandfathers WW2 milsurp. This pistol has a few upgrades over that milsurp that I can detect: the rear sight is way better having an actual notch as opposed to a mere suggestion of one; real wood grips instead of plastic; wider hammer spur; medium length trigger instead of short one; and a chamber witness hole at the bake of the hood (very small, just enough to see if brass is in the chamber). Finish was as described and was even throughout the pistol. Fit was.... wonderful. When in battery there is 0 slide movement and with no barrel in the pistol only very minimal movement (no rattle). When locked up, 0 play in the barrel hood and none with the muzzle. Holding the barrel and slide up to the light, there is only a very slight amount of daylight )maybe 1 or 2 thousandths) visible at the rear of one ide. All safeties or as expected. No hammer followthrough. The trigger has about 1/16-1/8 takeup with an equal amount of overtravel, minimal creep, clean break. Definitely not light, about the same as that milsurp. The back of the slide is a wonder - everything is perfectly flush and blended well, with the extractor only visible in the right light and angle. Again, the price. in first box of ammo ran perfectly with included mag and Chip McCormik mags using Blazer. This thing is awesome.

Despite the low cost of this 1911 it's a great handgun for fun at the range. It has a historical military 1911 look and feel. I put 250 rounds through it on the first day out with no stoppages or malfunctions.

I am completely satisfied with this 1911. It arrived quickly from Bud's and it was in perfect condition. After a complete cleaning I took it to the range and put 200 rounds through it without any malfunctions. What more could you want?

I was a bit scared to purchase a 1911 for under $400.. online they had mixed reviews..but after a trip to the range I can honestly say that it was easily worth the money. The only hiccup I had...and yes it was a fairly big pain..was I couldn\'t get the first round to feed. I kept having to drop the mag and clearing the chamber manually. Once I finally got one to feed into the chamber after 5 or 6 tries... It performed flawlessly for the 300 rounds I put through it today. I\'m very happy with the accuracy of this firearm.. I know Hickok45 said if shot low...but again ..all of the past issues with this gun have been fixed from what I can tell. I am new to 1911s and have only shot handguns regularly for 8 months..but at 25\' I was able to get a 3/4\" grouping of 3 less than 1/2\" lower than the perfect sight alignment. ... For iron sights...this is way more than I would have expected a 1911 under $400 to achieve. I went ahead and swapped out the guide rod and plug for a full length one...changed the grips to g10 grips...and replaced the trigger with an adjustable skeletonized trigger. It\'s great having all the parts able to be changed with other brands. The only thing that I can see that I can\'t change out is the grip most are standard...and I believe these are metric. I also purchased the cheap 8 round Mec-gar mag from buds which also preformed flawlessly. Buds was good to deal with like always...had to wait 5 days for my check to clear...but after that it wasn\'t even 3 days before my FFL was calling to let me know my order had arrived.
