great gun. after a good cleaning I had no issues what soever with the guns operation. While shooting the front red sight was lost as the gun cycles rounds. have to find me another, but overall great gun.

Ordered this gun on Saturday night and got here Tuesday morning I picked it up Friday the process was very simple to do, much simpler than driving out of the way to some gun show and then also paying tax and when buying guns that alone can add 100 bucks to the price. I paid 729 and it was worth it, the gun racks very smooth and the fit and finish are nice and the grips are nice although I might replace them because I have small hands. The trigger pull and break is very crisp like everyone has said, however the trigger itself does have some slop or wiggle to it, like other people have said, but it is really not that bad I mean the trigger is not going to fall out and it works rather well, but this is a 1911 and if you dont like it just change it out, there are countless things that can be done to modify or upgrade a 1911. If I had to get nitpicky about this gun the only other thing I would comment on is that some of the corners on the gun are a bit sharp, such as the front sight or down around the mag well or when the slide locks back the bottom end corners are kinda sharp, but these are small things that can be fixed with a couple of passes with a small file without damaging the gun or the finish, so really its not a big deal for me. The gun was and is worth this price all day long, considering the cost of many other 1911's I dont see why this gun couldnt sell for 900 easy and it might before its over, so if your considering a first 1911 or just another one I would definitely consider this one. This was my first 1911 and just a side note, it was more time consuming to take down for cleaning, atleast when compared to my glock or Beretta 92, but not too bad like I said this was my first one and im just not used to it. You've probably read somewhere about someone getting one damaged or dirty from the factory, but just because one person has a bad experience and posts it on the internet does not mean everyone will. This is a great gun from a great gun manufacturer and I am looking forward to other pistols they bring to the market.

This is an excellent gun for the price. I have fired about 250 rounds through it with no malfuctions or jams. I did change the grips out for a pair or Hogue G10 with built in magwell. The factory grips just weren't quite to my liking, not quite checkered enough for me, but that is my personal choice. The trigger had a bit lose/sloppy feeling. It had a bit of play up and down. I am having it replaced with another trigger by a gunsmith here in my home town. I had shot another one of these at the IDPA World Shoot in Orlando last year and it had a really nice trigger. I shot the gun at 15 yards at the head of an IDPA target and kept all the rounds in it. It did shoot a bit to the left and I did have to adjust the rear sight over a bit, but that was easy enough to do and know it shoots pretty much point of aim with 230grain ball ammo.

The purchase of this gun was the result of alot of comparative shopping and I couldn't be happier ! This was my first 1911 and this gun is awsome at this price point. If you have been shopping for a 1911, you know the prices have a huge range from $ 400 - $ 1,000 +++. My first trip to the range involved going thru 200 rounds (CCI Blazer 230 gr FMJ). Not a single FTF or FTE. The extended beavertail makes this a joy to shoot, no pinching or 'digging' into your hand on recoil. The front red optic sight makes aquiring the target a breeze. Accuracy right out of the box, allowed for a 4" grouping with the very first mag. The fit n' finish on the gun is very good. The slide to frame fit is awsome, so slop or rattles. I couldn't be happier with my purchase or the performance of this firearm. My purchase was the first using Bud's, couldn't be happier, service, price delivery, etc was top notch.

Ordered the Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced on Tuesday night picked it up from my FFL on Friday morning. Buds is the best. The Remington R1 looks great and the grip is very comfortable. Will take it to the range in the next couple of weeks. Buds gets five stars.
