this revolver is beautiful and exactly what I wanted, with only one real fault: the grips kinda suck. they are a bit too small at the butt. as of yet, I have not been able to find grips for my larger hands. otherwise the gun is fantastic. the 38's I put through it have a similar kick to my beretta 9mm, but the 357's kick like a mule!

I purchased this weapon because I own the Rossi 971 .357 4" and also the Rossi is a very good handgun that has a very light trigger pull and is very easy to shoot. The first thing I noticed is that the cylinder release is really loose. It sets about 1/16 of an inch away from the frame and can be pushed up against the frame so it sets flush. I thought that the screw was loose but it was tight so the fitting is a little sloppy. The second thing I didn't like is that the grips are not interchangeable with the 971 due to a 1/4 inch hole in the side frame the no other grip will cover. My 971 does not have this hole in the frame. They are the same gun with the only difference is the barrel length. The grips that come with the gun are perfect for my wife but for a 6'3" man they are quite tiny. I have searched the internet for some type of replacement grips but no-one makes them for the 972 so you are stuck with the stock grips for now. The gun shoots great and is very accurate and the finish is beautiful. If Rossi cleans up their fitting process and adds a larger grip, this weapon will be a great weapon for all to own.

Great gun for the money. Index of the barrel to the frame was a bit off, but overall not anything to worry about.

Love this gun. I've put 100 rounds through it so far, both 357 and 38, and it has performed flawlessly. Super accurate too. The only downside is the small grips but they are good enough.

I don't know people, I read these reviews and I can't tell who i should believe. I purchased the 6 inch model for my wife and she (we) are very impressed with the way it shoots and looks. So far we put 300 rounds of good to fair ammo through it and it has no issues. my advise is to get it while you can cuz I don't look for it to be that price forever.......5 stars!
