I have now ran about 300 rounds through this revolver and feel I can provide a good review. The revolver is real nice. Good looking grips and bluing. Mine is very accurate. Only problem is that the screw that holds the ejector rod housing works its way out while firing. I had the whole housing fly down range while firing .22 mag. Nothing a little loc-tite won't fix. Otherwise the revolver has been great and I don't regret the purchase.

This is a nice little gun. Feels very hefty, I like the fact that it has a hammer block safety - this gun is going to be my son's first handgun, and in my mind, you can't have too many safeties when teaching a little one about firearms handing and safety. Also, being a single action, my son will be more likely to realize the value of ammo and take his time with shot placement. Semi-autos are too quick to shoot (i.e. easier to blow through ammo), hopefully the ammo hoarders will calm down soon and the dad's and kid's that want to enjoy some plinking can do so again without having to worry about where to find the next brick. The neatest thing about this gun is that it has the same 4 click hammer like the colt SAA my dad had, 1-safety notch, 2-half cock, 3-useless, 4-cocked and locked. Bud's was great on shipping, about a week from placing the order to picking up at the FFL. Thanks buds!

Nice pistol for the price. Buds service was great as usual.

I finally got the chance to take this revolver to the range and try out both cylinders, at the same time. I have to say, that this pistol shoots rather flawlessly! The features all rather nice. It has the Coco wood grip and features a thumb flip safety to the left side of the hammer. Changing out from the 22 LR to the 22 Magnum literally takes seconds. The blue'd finish appears to be of very decent quality overall and cleaning/oiling is an absolute snap.

I'm a VIP member and as usual, gun arrived within a few days. I bought the Rough Rider partly to learn a little "cowboy" shooting and just to have something cheap to plink with that doesn't burn ammo quite as fast as our semi-autos. I bought the 4.75 inch version with the dual cylinders. I like the balance of the mid length gun. I read up on them on the internet and most of the comments seemed to be positive with many people owning these guns for a lifetime. So while a fancy stainless 6 gun would be nice, the $3-400 price difference will pay for a lot of ammo! Three of us took it out in the hills and ran about 150 rounds through it. It definitely slowed down our ammo consumption. LOL No firing issues. We had an inexperienced shooter with us, first time he'd shot a revolver and he was consistently pinking our metal plates at 50 feet. I fired a few "longs" that we had too. I haven't shot a "long" in about 25 years. LOL It's about like shooting a BB gun. Once we put the regular "long rifle" rounds in it acted and sounded more like a real gun! The wood grips give a natural feel. One of the few guns I own that I haven't wanted to change grips immediately. The finish is fine. I wasn't expecting it to be a work of art, but it's actually a pretty decent finish. The gun is accurate, fun to shoot, and slow to load. :) I invested in a box of .22 mags to give a try next time. Overall my impression is this gun is a keeper. It's a good start for someone just looking to do some plinking, or maybe some varmint shooting without sinking a lot of money into a gun.
