Buds was quick and the rifle got to my FFL in a timely manner. The rifle i got came with the bag, sling and rifle. I did not get the red dot sight. Had this gun for a few years now and can say its a better version of the 10/22 but i will say the rear sight can walk off if it isn't tightened down. Otherwise I'm happy with my purchase.

Great little rifle I have to say like it better then the 10/22 just think it's a more modern design amd a bit of an upgrade. As far as reliability I'd say they are both equal. Love this rifle fits most of the same parts as well so easy to upgrade replace parts.
Didnt really care for the red dot and dont use the sling that comes with this kit case is ok serves its purpose but even with out the kit would still a good proce for just the rifle

Thanks again Buds! Excellent rifle! Attached a small weapons light to the mlok slot on the stock. It has already proved itself. Got this rifle to protect my chickens from predators and the green dot and flashlight combo makes it easy to deal with them at their favorite prowling hours. I couldn't be more pleased with this rifle thanks again!

This little rim rifle is really neat! If you are a 10/22 enthusiast like me you will really like the way its outfitted. The trigger is light crisp and fast. The magpul stock is comfortable and the accessories that come with it are a nice bonus

I agree with others that the LOP is too short, not advertised as a youth gun.

1st I would like to say that this purchase was the first-time that I have bought a gun online. Buds did great and no satellites fell from the sky.
Took her to the range sighted the scope in and had a blast! Like being 12 years old again.
I had a 10-22 ten years ago and sold it due to the trigger pull, I didn't like it at all. (Spoiled on grandpa's speed master - still running strong) This Thompson Center is a better built gun than the ruger IMO. The Trigger could use some work but it's not bad. The scope is nice, sling and case are all better quality than I had expected. I definitely give it 5 stars!

This is a great little package! Super price through Buds. I bought this package including the gun, red dot sight, sling and carry case for the same price I saw the gun only on sale at other sporting goods stores.
The gun itself is a little more compact than I expected. I didn't have the opportunity to hold this gun before ordering. All the comparisons online are the TCR22 vs Ruger 10/22. I've shot the 10/22 before and the size seemed normal. I just expected this firearm to be a little larger than it is. With that being said it's not as small as a youth 22 but I think a youth could shoot this one easily. Compact isn't bad, just not what I expected.
The operations of the 22 are nice. When shooting, it has a snappy feel to the action and has been as accurate as one can expect shooting different ammunition of different ages. I have yet to get 1 brand of ammo and sit down on a sled to absolutely zero it but it has adjusted the bullet impact exactly as I have told it to do just bracing offhanded.
The threaded barrel end is nice, the machined in picatinny rail is nice, the smooth machining on all the metal parts is nice. The machining and the tweaks in improving the action over the Ruger are where I think this gun shines.
Overall, this is a good looking and performing 22. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a semi-auto 22.

Very nice 22, however the magpul stock needs cheek risers and butt extension, overall length is to short and there’s no way to rest your cheek to accurately sight in the target. If anyone can recommend where I can find these accessories, please advise. With this improvement, this would be a fantastic and fun 22,worthy of 5 stars!

I bought the red dot sling & case kit although I only wanted the rifle. (cost only $2 more than rifle alone). (The rifle is very high quality - the red dot, sling and case are cheap and probably won't be used) I removed the peep sight and mounted an inexpensive but very bright and accurate Bushnell Banner 4-12x40 on UTG medium rings... a perfect fit set up with just the right eye relief and cheek weld with this gun for me. (I am a 5'8" person of average size hands, head, etc). After cleaning the barrel I went to my 50 yard range. After zeroing the scope with bulk Thunderbolts I got an easy and respectable 1.5 inches for bulk ammo. Switched to CCI SV's and after re-zeroing, less than 1 inch became regular. The gun runs perfectly with my Ruger 1022 mags. (the TCR22 mags are ridiculously priced even though they do hold open after last shot) One problem for me was the hard plastic butt piece. It slips all the time. I bought a small size, soft rubber, Airtech Limbsaver slip on recoil pad. ($19 @ Walmart) This certainly fixed the slipping but had the added benefit of increasing the LOP an inch - small amount but big difference for me. This is a very good 50 yard target and plinking rifle ... irregardless of price. (my home range only goes to 50 yds) And for varmint control it is totally humane using CCI SV's.

Nice rifle. Optic seems okay. Can't really shoot it to function test since the magazine follower will not push rounds out. I had read that there was an issue with the magazines. I called Thompson Center and the very nice customer service lady took my name and address and said they would send me a new magazine when they became available. She reminded me a 10/22 magazine will work. Guess that is where I'm headed.

I really like the value of this rifle. It has an integrated scope base built into the receiver. My 10/22 had a scope base that was machine screwed in and when that stripped, it forced me to purchase a new receiver. This T/CR also has a nice stock, good sights, a good magazine release, and a threaded barrel. That is all stuff I added to my 10/22 from aftermarket vendors. Gun seem fairly accurate and is light to carry. Overall, I am pleased. I haven't used the red dot yet, but the sling is nice.

Very fun little rifle. Could plink all day. The red-green dot is really nice as well.
