So, I recently bought one of these spectrum 380s regardless of all the negative reviews for the most part, however, I did what many advised to do which was sand down the magazines so that they will recess into the gun better which presumably will allow the ammo to chamber a lot easier and I must say that after doing so I've not had one single issue with my spectrum! In fact, it fires flawlessly. The gun is very small and compact hence the reason I bought it to begin with and it just takes a bit of getting used to in regards of the trigger pull and of course learning how to use the sites on it just as with any other gun takes some practice as well but after all, this gun isn't particularly designed for long range shooting at all, but overall it is very light and compact and I must add that I did order and replace the spring with a captured spring which was definitely well worth the extra money! I'm definitely not disappointed in this gun after making a few adjustments to it.

I had seen the reviews... I knew what I was getting into... This was a tinker project... For every "this gun is awesome" video I saw, there was an "i want to love this beautifully unique looking gun but..." one. There was also a bevy of "this is how I fixed my Spectrum " videos. So a tear down, a polish and an aftermarket captured recoil spring later... I WIN! it it was a great little "tinker-feast". I have an AWESOME SHOOTING, reliable pocket carry i would bet the farm on. Only wish I could have gotten it in one of namesake spectrum of colors, and find more mags.

It did not fire 50 rounds before hanging up the seven round magazine you were lucky to get seven rounds through it about 50% of the time it will hang up and jam, the six round magazine is another story it does fairly well you need to take the base plates off and use a sanding block and sand a few thousands off the top of the base plate so the magazine will go farther up into the mag well, I purchased two more six round mags and I sanded a few thousands off the top of the base plate and I polish the feed ramp with a Dremel too now it's very reliable other than having light primer strikes about 30% of the time. This is very aggravating to purchase a new pistol and have to work on it to get it to feed correctly now it has light primer strikes this is very very irritating to say the least.

I purchased this as a "get off me" carry piece. I needed something ultra small, but with enough punch to be a deterrent. It's accurate enough at 10 yds, but has the longest trigger pull of anything I've ever shot. If you purchase it for a similar use as I did, it will get the job done, and the price is reasonable compared to other .380s of the same size.

Very nice pocket pistol. ran a full box of ammo through it straight out of the box. Not one failure.

Outstanding pistol. Light weight it is. The 7 round magazine is my favorite. My big hand can hold it much better. All 380's kick but this one is on the low end of 380's. Keep gun clean and oil firing pin. It has a weak strike so oil and cleaning is going to get pop Everytime. On every simi auto pistol I get I pull the slide a bunch then disassemble the gun and look for marks/scratch and polish that area. Always get a better gun with much less break in period. Disassemble is easy on magazines. Push round button on bottom and slide off. Clean and lube the mag. Never leave a lot of oil cuz it will hold dirt. Yes the sites are low on the gun but it's a concealed gun. So stop complaining when it's designed that way. Ur supposed to shoot a gun like this by pointing it not using the sites. LMAO are you going to tell the bad guy hold on cuz I got to aim first? NO so practice this and watch how good u will get. Trigger pull is long and hard. It's a restriker gun so mechanically it has to be this way so I should know this before u buy cuz it tells u. Great gun hands down

Great little James Bond gun. Buying it was a serious breeze, arrived fast, and shoots very well.

After 90 rounds of full metal jacket (FMJ) fired through the pistol. Pros: Great size and weight. Decent trigger pull and accuracy at 55 feet. Good-looking gun. No trigger safety. Comes with two magazines (six and seven round). I would prefer two six-round mags. Reasonable price. Fairly easy to control when shooting. Not too much muzzle flip. Shoots reliably with both CCI Blazer brass and even TulAmmo steel-case FMJ rounds. Cons: Slippery rubber crap instead of metal hashes on slide make it tough to rack the slide. I have to rack from muzzle-end of slide. Recoil spring is too long and stiff. I bought a stainless-steel recoil spring assembly from Galloway Precision ($27 delivered to my mail box). Now pistol is easy to clean and reassemble. When loaded with six rounds in the mag the top round likes to nose dive. Shoots well in the five-plus-one mode. Sights are too small, they need to be raised a bit. Taurus needs to add the metal slide hashes, put a captive (shorter) recoil spring in this pistol and raise the sights. That would earn the gun a five-star ranking instead of my current three-star ranking. I prefer a manual thumb safety. Since the gun does NOT have a manual thumb safety, make sure you have the trigger covered when carrying this pocket pistol.

Pretty cool little gun. Took a gamble on it after reading some other reviews and so far so good. Haven't put a whole lot of rounds through it yet but, what I have has worked fine. The only issue I have is whoever thought that 20 foot long recoil spring was a good idea needs to get their head checked. It is absolute hell getting that thing back together. Probably just going to end up getting a replacement spring for it. Otherwise, so far I really like it!

I like this little gun, fits easily in my pocket holster. I have had zero issues with 3 types of ammo. Purchase through Bud's was flawless as usual, gun arrived in perfect condition. Recoil is very manageable especially for it's size. Break down is easy but I struggle with the non captured recoil spring when it goes back together.

This is good little pocket pistol for CC. It did initially have some misfires, but after returning it to Taurus for repair it has not had even one misfire.

This is not a reliable handgun, keep failing to extract the cartridge, cannot trust this firearm, very disappointed ��

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It looks good and feels good. I have a very big hand and with the 7 rd mag it still feels good, even as small as it is. So far, most all impartial reviews were positive, that helped me decide to buy it. Can't wait to shoot it.

Great for concealed carry, perfect size for anyone looking for a gun for the purse, ankle any type of carry. It's light and gets the job done.

Another late review, Buds were yet again exceptional with the service given. I bought this as a risk due to the bad reviews it had when it first launched, for the price I thought it was worth the risk, and I am happy to say a risk worth taking, Taurus got the problems ironed out with this later model. This is 2 years old and has fired around 2000 rounds through it without out fault. Great little back up gun or EDC if you are comfortable with 380 acp. All in all this was a good purchase for a purse gun for my wife.

Nice little carry gun. I put only 20 rounds thru it because 380 ammo is about impossible to find during these times. But the 20 rounds that I put thru it, I had no problems at all. Thank you Bubs for another quick n fast delivery.

Not a bad gun for a new shooter feels cheap but it functions just fine one really good thing about it I have huge hands and this pistol actually fits my hand good with no pinch
