The ruger lcrx 22lr 3" is a solidly built piece. During my session with it I didn't experience any problems with it is an accurate weapon though it has a heavy trigger. Sits good in the hand no recoil with Aguila super extra.

Definitely recommend. Lightweight like a standard LCR, takes the same grips and sights (as long as they are for a 22LR), runs flawlessly. The trigger is heavy, about 15 pounds, which is required for a rimfire double action to be reliable, but it is very smooth, the same weight all the way through. The added sight radius definitely helps at a distance, as does the adjustable rear sight, and having the option of single action makes zeroing much easier.

I bought this to replace my 22 LCR with > 2inch barrel for better accuracy and to be able to use both DA and SA, it has been great. I have much more accuracy and because am over 6' tall it is easy for me to conceal.

Nice lightweight kit gun. For the money it was my choice over the Smith & Wessen 317 - but a friend has the 317 and it is a better shooting gun if you want to spend a couple hundred more. My negative and only reason I rate 4 vs 5 stars is the very heavy trigger. Buds shipped fast to my FFL and arrived in great condition.

It’s a clean shooting, easy to use .22 revolver. The synthetic body mates well with the round, making for a light, easy to use, pleasing plinker. Perhaps my only critique, if I’m digging for one, is that the single action draw is stiff, but it’s not excessive in double, so it’s something I can very easily live with. And live with it I will. A hundred or so rounds and there’s no cylinder paul scoring. Fit and finish are exceptional. Love me a Ruger revolver!

This gun is the epitome of the "kit gun." It has a 3" barrel, holds 8 rounds, has adjustable sights, and a really comfortable Hogue grip. The trigger is really smooth and is consistent from start to finish. It is so lightweight. This is a great hiking or outdoors revolver because it so lightweight and it holds so many rounds. Plus, once you sight it in, it is very accurate. It has Ruger reliability and durability. I love this revolver. Do yourself a favor and buy one. Thanks, BudsGunShop!

After reading several reviews for the LCRx, I purchased the .22 LR revolver. It is a terrific little revolver. It is accurate, very easy and gentle to shoot and just the size I was looking for. I would recommend this pistol to anyone looking for a light weight, small .22 revolver.

Buds had the firearm in stock that I wanted and the price was competitive. The complete transaction went very smooth including timely shipping to my FFL dealer. Based upon my experience I recommend Buds.

I have owned and carried a .38 LCR for years and love it. My wife has kept a Colt Detective Special .38 for home protection for many years, but grew unable to fire it accurately double action. The LCRx is the perfect compromise. The double action is the smoothest and easiest I have ever felt. Accurate and comfortable, I may have to get another for myself.

The perfect revolver! I am a revolver guy and this has all the qualities that make a revolver fun. Accurate and adjustable. Lightweight yet substantial. The grip fits just right in the hand and makes an extended round of plinking a comfortable pleasure. I put hundreds of rounds through it in its first week and the LCRx reliably fires all types of 22 ammo from all manufacturers. I’ve often heard and experienced how semi-auto rimfire guns can be finicky, preferring some brands of ammo over others. Not so with this Ruger. It doesn’t discriminate. It shoots everything well. As my first Ruger firearm, this revolver has made an instant fan out of me. While I haven’t yet got the sights fully dialed in, I’m enjoying every step of the journey. I strongly recommend this handgun as it has quickly moved to the front of the line in my list of a fun shooter.

I love this little plinker. You won’t be disappointed with this gun. The trigger is pretty smooth. Double action is a little bit heavy, but not too heavy. I’ve blown through so much .22lr but it’s cheap! I don’t think I’ll ever part with this one.

The LCRX 22 is exactly what I hoped it would be. I have absolutely no problem recommending this gun to others. One item of note is the trigger pull weight. I didn't have issues with shooting it, but my 13 year old son had trouble with both double action as well as cocking the hammer. I own the icr 38 special and it has a much lighter trigger pull. I only mention it because using the lcrx 22 to train new shooters may not work out as well as expected. Personally, I enjoyed shooting through a box of bulk 22 ammo, my son shot 8 rounds and decided that he was done. So, buy it if you're looking for a solid little 22, but expect to have some issues if you have weaker hands or arthritis.

What a GREAT Gun buying experience. I was always worried about buying online, but after reviewing all the info on your page it seemed fairly simple. After purchasing the Handgun; I was amazed at the daily emails regarding the status of my purchase.. Your FFL selection put my FFL about a mile from my location.. Great experience from start to finish.. Will definitely buy from Buds again.. Ruger revolver was as expected; no issues at all.. Great shooting little Gun right out of the box...

FUN FUN FUN! I have had a number of 22lr rifles, however this is my first 22lr handgun. I wanted a 22 revolver, mainly to plink with & get some extra range time without spending lots of money on 9mm/357 ammo. I also thought it would be nice to have around for the rare occasion we take a new first time shooter to the range. It fits the bill perfectly. The trigger is buttery smooth, albeit a tad heavy & the recoil is so soft it's a joke. The grip is super comfortable. The sight picture is easy to pick up. I absolutely love everything about it. I was originally thinking about getting a GP100 or SP101, but could not justify spending all that extra money on a 22. This seems to be at a better price point & I'm happy I decided to go with the LCRX. Hopefully it will hold up to a decently high volume of fire. Time will tell. So far I only have about 200 rounds through it. I tried some solid 40 grain 1235fps CCI Mini Mags, Winchester Wildcats, & Thunderbolts. I had no issues with any of them, ejection was easy. My only complaint, or more of a minor annoyance, is the cylinder release button. It works fine, however it is VERY gritty. Usually I can get the cylinder open with one gentle push, but sometimes it takes just a touch of finesse with that grittiness. It's by no means a deal breaker. I am very happy with the LCRX and would absolutely buy it again. There's something so satisfying about it. So much fun! =)

Let me start by saying I bought the 38 special version of this gun 2 years ago and love it. Have shot the 38 a lot and the trigger is amazing and everything else about it is great too. Been waiting for this 22 lr version ever since I got the 38. After going out once and shooting 300 rounds and shooting 30 rounds with the 38 for a side by side comparison here are my impressions. First the 38 and 22 sell for the same price. The 38 comes with a cloth zipper case the 22 comes in a cardboard box. The 22 has a flat almost grainy dull finish while the 38 has a smooth almost shiny finish. The double action trigger on the 22 is very gritty and I am not talking about the heavier trigger pull you need with a rimfire. Because of the way the LCR trigger mechanism works the double action weight does not feel that much heavier than the 38 but the travel is full of grit. My 38 trigger is smooth as silk and was when brand new. Because of the way the LCR trigger mechanism is designed I do not think that this grit is going to smooth out with use the way an all metal revolver does nor do I think I should have to wait for it to. Some ammo is very hard to eject from the cylinder after being fired. These include CCI mini mag and velociter, bulk federal ammo drops right out when tipped up. Yes the CCI ammo is higher pressure but this gun should be designed to function properly with it as it is common very popular and well made ammo. I am disappointed that Ruger has cut corners and gone the cheap route with this gun while collecting the same amount of money they get for a much better made 38.

I bought the Ruger LCR-X in 22 lr to use as a "kit" gun because of it's lightweight and 8 round capacity. It fit the role perfectly and even likes bulk ammo. I should have cleaned out the cylinder before taking it to the range because after a hundred rounds or so the cases were sticking a bit. I'm going to polish them up a bit for next time so maybe the fouling has less of an effect. Totally happy with my purchase and I would recommend it for anyone . The famous rattle is the transfer bar safety so it's okay to carry it with the cylinder loaded up. Jonathan W.
