Great pistol clean design handle is small but with the extended clips it has the perfect grip. It has never jammed on me yet in years. Also as you can guess by that statement I’m very late on this review. Overall great weapon I recommend it. It was very simplistic and easy to manage the site as well I remember being able to do this all on my phone while away for military training.

I love this model XDS. It is my EDC when I'm off work. I like the balance and the feel of the gun. I would recommend using a grip tape made out of rubber though. The real sight was sharp on the edges, but after some sand paper it resolved the issue. No problems with several hundred rounds through it.

The xds45 is a wonderful edc gun. No issues whatsoever. The recoil is quite manageable for a 45. Using a 7 shot mag, the gun feels like a full size handgun. The grip texture is very aggressive, and the overall width is less than an inch. Great engineering went into this piece.Very happy with the purchase, Springfield makes quality equipment for very reasonable prices.

Love Springfield .45’s, only semi auto handgun I really trust after I bought the full size about 4 years ago. Saw this one on buds and it’s definitely worth the price , I’ve put about 700 rounds through it with not even a single jam.

I finally got my hands on a Springfield XDS .45 from Buds after a very short short wait. I took it to the range the same day and fired about 200 rounds. It was absolutely flawless ! Small package in .45. Best CC in all seasons. Quality firearm. Have put over 500 rounds and ate all kinds of ammo without single FTE. Loved buds prices and fast delivery.

Happy with this purchase. Couple hundred rounds through it with no problems. Accurate and recoil very manageable. The Springfield offer of 4 free mags was a real plus. I'm not a big fan of fiber optic sights. They are OK in bright light but go downhill as the light dims. Square knobs on the grips were not for me and a set of Talon grips corrected this.

This is a great pistol. Fits very comfortablely in the hand. Sights are great. The recoil on this .45 is not bad at all. For it being a small barreled pistol, I'm shocked with the recoil. I will swear that some of my 9mm pistols that are the same size has greater recoil. The fde looks awesome. It's darker than Magpul, but not by much. I put a Crimson Trace pro guard on it. It really takes it to a new level. As always buds is the best. I love these guys. Over the years I have bought probably 20 guns. Once again another happy customer. This piece of hardware is an excellent EDC choice. I only have have owned it a couple weeks but have put a couple hundred rounds down range with it. It's a nice little shooter with a little bit of recoil.(as to be expected) I'm comparing this to the Glock 27 and the S&W M&PShield(9mm). Of coarse when you carry a .45acp your capacity(5 1) is going to be down when compared to other choices. But it's accurate and compact. This piece is an awesome addition to any collection. SIDENOTE:when you use the extended mag it feels like a bigger gun for those extensive rang days.

I`m glad I pulled the trigger on this one! Read its great reviews, and always wanted a compact Springfield .45, since shooting my neighbor`s 2 yrs ago. Buds got me this one FAST(didn`t mind paying last payment on C.C. and no E-Check discount).Thanks again to BUDS for that! Gun feels great in the hand and shoots beautifully. Recoil is reduced by its axis-bore angle pushing straight back, not flipping up like a small revolver. The extended mag feels good, supporting all fingers. digested 50 Armscor FMJ, Geco FMJ, 100rnds cheap TULA ammo and a few Hornady critical Defense and Buff Bore Hard Cast Heavy loads ALL without a Single issue! Even breaking-in this gun does not fail! Today`s modern .9mm loads do almost anything .45 loads do in "actual recorded shootings," and I favor a small .9mm for my everyday CCW. That said, there are some heavy P Buffalo Bore or Underwood Heavy .45 loads that I`m pretty sure even the "heavy 9`s" can`t keep up with. This Springfield may be replacing my Taurus 709slim .9mm after some further testing and practice at the range. So far,especially for the price, this gun is a winner. The price has been fluctuating these past few months, so BUY ONE while they`re still around! Fit, form function, accuracy, reliability all exemplary with this gun.Also, if you buy it BEFORE 6/30/17 then Springfield will send you 4 free magazines, a paddle holster and a double-mag holder all for FREE!! Kinda made it a "No-Brainer" for me and I really enjoyed shooting this gun, espeacially with the extended mag. If you`re on the fence---BUY IT!! And of course BUDS service and prices, FANTASTIC as always!
