Had a little problem with these , the bolt in one was defective and had to be replaced. No problems with Buds but Cimmaron was not easy to deal with so I had to fix it myself. Be sure to check your purchase out properly before you accept it. I did not and did not find the problem out until I got home.

Got this nice little 38 for my wife as a birthday present. For cowboy action shooting. She has a pair of these saa and their small size is perfect for her little hands! They shoot great and the color case hardened accents look amazing with the deep bluing on the barrel.

Received the revolver quickly after payment cleared. Came in a box marked Uberti, so I believe it is one of their replicas, that should have been noted in product description. Initial inspection showed all metal heavily covered in oil. Hammer does not always lock all the way back when cocking to test function. Cylinder rotates and locks up very well. Ejector rod pushes all the way through the cylinder chamber ensuing good case ejection. The hammer appears to be of some transfer bar type with no firing pin, different than what is shown in the instructions. To load the revolver, open gate and pull hammer to half cock allowing the cylinder to turn. To clean the gun the instructions say to open gate, hammer at half cock, depress base pin catch to remove base pin allowing the cylinder to be removed from the frame. I tried for an hour to remove the base pin to remove the cylinder and clean the gun. The base pin got stuck repeatedly requiring excess force to get it back the way it came. After quite some time I contacted Uberti for assistance. Still waiting for a reply. I bought this particular gun becasue I wanted a 38 Special. After my frustration, hindsight tells me I should have bought the Ruger Vaquero in .357.
