Bud's handled the transaction for the Standard Manufacturing SAA in 45 Colt promptly.
The gun is flawless and I wouldn't change anything about it. Trigger pull is nice and the gun is accurate. At 25 yards with home cast Keith SWC 5 shots grouped with 4 rounds touching each other. It is an expensive gun, but I am very satisficed with this purchase.

This review is for the purchase of a beautiful Single Action .45 Colt revolver made by Standard Manufacturing. As usual the customer service members at Buds did their part perfectly. I purchased this gun sight unseen but I had looked at reviews on various sites and knew I was in for a treat. And I was. This is a handgun built in the old tradition of about 100 years ago. That means lots of hand fitting and tight tolerances between parts. The color case hardening on the frame and hammer is beautiful as it is done with bone and charcoal. The bluing on the barrel and cylinder is deep blue and glass smooth. It has one piece walnut grips that fit the backstrap perfectly. The gun comes with a signed certificate that the gun left the factory with No Blemishes. I did not find any. The crew at Buds shipped the gun out on time and it arrived at my FFL dealer unscathed and it perfect condition. Thanks again Buds crew for another great job.

Ordered mine on Tues from Bud’s and it arrived on Fri to my LGS. I have owned Colt SAAs and USFAs. This gun is built better than my Colts and slightly better than my USFAs. It’s a very high quality gun that anyone would be proud to own. I’m anxious to try it at the range.

Absolutely beautiful firearm. The fit and finish is outstanding as is the color case hardening, I own several Colt SAA models across all 3 generations and the Standards colors have them beat. My favorite features of this gun are the markings which are done almost exactly like a 1st gen Colt, caliber only markings on barrel as well as the 2 line address on the 4.75" barrel. The fire blued screws, trigger, cylinder pin and ejector really add to the presentation of this gun. Pictures DO NOT do it justice. Buds service and shipping were fantastic as usual and had the gun to me in 4 days. Overall, words cannot express how happy I am that I made this purchase and my satifaction with Buds staff.

This may not be a "genuine" Colt..., but, it is awesome, and equal to if not better than a Colt...

This is very fine SAA. The manufacturer attests it’s perfect when it leaves the factory and I must agree the firearm is just about as good as it could get. If I were to be super critical I would say that the bushing inside the cylinder is just a bit gritty as it rotates but that is the only flaw I can find. I love this SAA and while it costs as much as a riding lawn mower it is definitely a good investment. I am very glad to have mine and wish I could afford to get a nickel one as well. But it took me a very long time and a couple trade ins for me to afford the one I have. Am still trying to get my self to put a bullet thought it but haven’t worked up the nerve yet. All that being said, consider this review a recommend to buy even over a Colt.

I was waiting for a 4 3/4” with the one piece grip but couldn’t wait any longer. I got to think maybe I might have some grips built for it and having two piece grips would be a good thing. So I ordered the 4 3/4” with the two piece grips. I was not expecting them to be as beautiful as they are. I may not have to change them out at all. I agree the bluing is reminiscent of old Colt Pythons. Very beautiful and deep. The color case hardening is so deep it’s like looking into the galaxy. The gun has a heft that just feels good in the hand. Before I received my SA I read that Colt in their custom shop would time the screws for you. Doing it straight from the factory is just pure pride in workmanship. I hope to shoot this gun soon but for now will enjoy it as the piece of art it is.

JUST BROUGHT HOME MY NEW STANDARD MFG. SAA 45 LC. WENT OVER THE GUN WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB AND IT IS PERFECT. THE SERVICE FROM BUDS WAS GREAT WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS GUN IS ALMOST TO NICE TO SHOOT. THE ONLY THING THEY COULD ADD WOULD BE A NICE WALNUT DISPLAY CASE SO YOU COULD SHOW IT OFF. THANKS BUD'S

WOW! What a well made firearm. I have never had or have seen such a quality gun in my lifetime. The bluing is comparable to the old Colt Pythons. The color case hardening is probably the best around. All the fitting is superb. All in All what a beautiful weapon! Buds delivery was awesome as well....two days to Maine. Well done STD MFG and Buds!

I received this revolver in a timely manner from Buds who sent it to my local gun shop. The firearm is excellent, showing the highest caliber of workmanship. The tolerances are superb and the lockup of the cylinder is perfect. The fit and finish leave nothing to be desired. I have not yet shot it, but I am confident it will be a great shooter. I'm not sure what happened to the packaging. When I inspected it at the gun shop I noticed it did not have a cardboard sleeve around the blue box. There was no lock or proof target from the factory. I don't know what was required to be in the box, so that's as much as I can tell was missing. The revolver, though, is the best I have ever seen.
