The M&P9 2.0 has converted me from a Glock fan to a M&P 2.0 fan. It has a significantly better trigger than a Glock, even with a Pyramid trigger in the Glocks. This pistol is well-balanced too, fits the hand nicely. In over 1500 rounds, not one malfunction from the get-go. The tritium night sights are a welcomed option.

I own several S&W firearms and they have always been reliable, well made and all at a good price. The M&P 2.0 C is my EDC and I trust my life and lives of my love ones while carrying it. IMHO the M&P series of pistols will soon surpass Glock and regain the thrown with LEO's. I also own a G19, PPQ and P10c.... they sit in my safe. Buds as always is my go too shop for quality firearms at a good price.

I waited until I put about 1300 rounds through this pistol to review it (I hate when folks review a gun saying "it looks great, haven't shot it yet!" or "ran flawless through 50 rounds!"). So after spending a few months with this gun I can confidently say it is fantastic. Here’s why: 1. In my opinion, this frame size is the best compromise between a concealed carry piece, a full size home defense weapon, and a fun range gun. Obviously this was created as a direct competitor to the G19. It’s a little big for me to carry in the summer because I prefer OWB carry, but definitely doable. Plus the rail is just long enough to support all the popular weapon lights. I personally run a TLR-7 on it. 2. Reliability has been 100% with brass and steel cased ammo from 115 – 147 grain, including Federal HST’s. 3. Accuracy is great to outstanding. My particular pistol shoots cheap Wolf 115 grain Military Classic ammo to point of aim out to 50 yards. Hitting a 10x12” steel plate at that distance is a give me with proper fundamentals. With the same ammo, I’ve attained sub 2” groups at 15 yards on several occasions. The improved 2.0 trigger plays a big part in this too. 4. I love the grip stippling, the grip angle, and the low bore axis. These features make rapid fire extremely controllable. This is a completely personal preference though…you’re mileage may vary. 5. Value is awesome. I think you’d be hard pressed to find another pistol under $500 that is this reliable, accurate, has these features, and NOT in need of upgrades out of the box. **Cough…Glock **Cough…polymer sights. Mine cost me $449 ($399 after the mail in rebate) and it came with 3 mags and night sights. Really hard to beat that. Bottom Line: This is probably the best $400 I’ve spent on a gun in a long time. If you’re on the fence, go ahead and get one. My guess is you’ll love it.

This compact 2.0 9mm is one fine shooting pistol.Point of aim is dead on.Handles recoil well with low bore axis and great grip.Like it as much as my Fns 9.Purchased both guns at Buds.Would highly recommend both.

I took the M&P 9mm 2.0 Compact to the range only once, but it worked flawlessly. It fed different loads without issues. The grip texture is very aggressive and so much better than the old one. The same for the trigger. Great fun in a great size package.

A good looking weapon for my collection. I already have the Shield 45 and am a huge fan of smith and Wesson so the natural thing to do was migrate to the 2.0 Compact. It shoots well without changing the trigger. I prefer it over my Glock 19 v4. Couldn’t be happier that this is in my collection.

The 2.0 shot amazing, right out of the box. I was using a mixture of ammo, and put about 500 rounds with no issues; I can’t wait to get back to the range and finish that first 1000 rounds. I always buy from buds and the process is always easy

Quality handgun. But in my opinion the grip texture is overly aggressive.

I’m absolutely impressed by this firearm. Smith and Wesson really went back to the drawing board on this one. The trigger, the sights, and the grips are all amazing. I took it to the range yesterday, and could not believe how accurate a shooter it made me look like. I shot fist size groups @25y, 2” groups @15y, and @7y I shot the center out after the first few rounds. I actually opted to move back to 15y cause 7y didn’t offer any kind of challenge. Not even with double taps. And this is all right out of the box. 0 mods. If you’re not looking for the best out of the box pistol you’ll ever own, keep looking. Otherwise, you will not be disappointed with this one. Lookout Glock.
