I love Mossberg 590’s and this is my favorite version (well, after switching out to Magpul MOE forend and SGA stock). This is the newer 6 shot mag tube (thus total 7 shot). The older version had a 5 shot mag tube with a 1 Choate extension on it. This newer version is simpler and cleaner looking. My specific example, however, must have been a Monday morning or Friday evening build. It’s rough. The action is super stiff (will loosen over time/rounds), the end of my mag tube was buggered up (fixed with gentle squeeze of pliers), the mag well opening was chipped (cleaned up with Aluma-black) and the matte bluing is super dull and chalky. But it works, and it prettied up nice. 5 stars for fantastic design/style/function. -1 star for the minor cosmetic blems..

very nice shotgun and perfect for its intended use. Quality build, great feel and gives me confidence that I own a well made and operating weapon. Bids made it easy and the prices make it worthwhile !! I’ll be a customer again soon !!

Good Shotgun. I took it to the range… put about 60 rounds through it. It kicks like a mule. I replaced the original buttstock with a Tactaload Butt stock and added a Tacstar side rail.

My son is a marine and knows his guns. He was delighted with the handling & firing of this Mossberg 590 12-gauge! Highly recommend.

Mossberg makes good shotguns! Maverick 88, 500, or 590 they are all really good. Look for the combo that gives you two barrels the 18" and 24 or28". Get more for your money. They are solid shot guns. Buds was awesome!

My Mossberg 590 slide action .12 gauge shotgun I purchased from Buds is a fine, smooth cycling pump gun. Delivery to my FFL was quick and timely. As a longtime, 45 years+, Remington 870 fan, I was impressed with Mossbergs' winning the U.S. military contract for an issue combat shotgun. The 590-A1. Mine is just the 590 with a bead sight and a factory six round tube magazine. I upgraded mine with a Mag Pul stock/forend and a hi vis orange tall tang safety. Only slight drawback to this manufacturers' model is the separate pieces, like the action bars that have to be dealt with during disassembly/reassembly. A bit more tedious to hold into place during reassembly for a guy spoiled by Remingtons' one piece foreend, twin action bars. Only a concern to maintenance minded shooters, which I realize not everyone is.

Solid shotgun. It Handles and feels as expected. I Desired the 590A1, but price point and actual intent of use got the better of me. The concern over the plastic trigger group was mitigated by the actual feel of it. It doesnt seem too flimsy or breakable without excessive force. It will serve my home defense needs perfectly as it pairs nicely with my 590 shockwave chambered in 20.

Nice shotgun!! A little sticky when new but after a box of 12 gauge OO.......loosened up nicely. A little lube here and there...... Racks rounds with the best of them now. Love the position of the safety on the rear spine.

Love it. I have a 500 cruiser in 20, a Benelli nova tactical and a Winchester Sxp, the 590 feels like a aluminum Rigid pipe wrench. This thing is built to take abuse and it is ultra compact and very light. I bought this because my other guns proved to me the ghost rings on my Benelli are pretty useless, so I decided to get something with a bead and pop a hiviz Mpb on it. Accurate with slugs out to 75. All in all if I was asked if I could have one pump gun what would it be, it would be the 590.

Love this shotgun. Chose over A1 because I don't see the need for heavy walled barrel unless at war. Put 500+ rounds through so far and not one problem. Fast Buds Shipping,

Bud's Gun Shop personnel delivered again (Mossberg 590 7-shot shotgun). The online ordering process is logical and fast. The only issue I have is with the cycling button on the left side underneath trigger guard. Mine tends to stick. Hopefully, that plastic part will begin to cycle better after the gun passes the breaking in period. Another excellent job by Bud.

Typical well built and reliable Mossberg. Handy in this configuration for home defense. No issues with it at all.

A great home defense shotgun. Light weight and easily maneuverable due to shorter barrel. Heavy recoil with standard 00 buck. I definitely would buy it again.

Great shotgun, runs smoothly and haven't had any issues with it at all. I did replace the stock furniture with Magpul furniture and I just love it even more.

I haven’t shot this Mossberg 590 Tactical shotgun yet...but It appears to be overall quality shotgun with a nice recoil pad on the plastic gun stock. The only disappointment with shotgun is, that it has a “plastic” trigger guard and most of trigger assembly is plastic as well.

Great gun! This was my first shot gun purchase in a long time, now I am hooked. Smooth action, fun to shoot. The only negative is the stiff safety, added in a little oil & worked it (on/off a few times) should be no problem from this point. Enjoy!!!!

Absolutely phenomenal shotgun. Fed and shot any and all 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. Pump was a little stick at first but smoothed out fast. Aguila mini shells fed 50 percent of the time but would run perfect with an adapter and are incredibly fun to shoot. Recoil was very manageable even with magnum rounds but I replaced the base stock with a Magpul stock (which I highly recommend) so I can't speak on recoil with the original stock. I would definitely recommend this shotgun to anyone but maybe wait for inflated prices to go down. It's worth the money but you can probably get it cheaper in the near future. Stay safe everyone.

I love this gun! I've been watching Hickok 45 for several years; I always hear him refer to Bud's Gun Shop...and although I live in Miami, FL - a very large city - I could not find the Mossberg 590 A1 anywhere. I finally found the 590 online at Bud's. I joined Team Bud's to get the added benefits. I ordered the Mossberg. It arrived at my local FFL dealer - exactly as described on Bud's website. I also ordered the S W .38 Special - and it arrived a couple days later.
No complaints.

Excellent military-issue pump action shotgun. If you want a reliable 12 gauge for defense, there's nothing better out there. Also, there is an endless variety of accessories and mods available for this shotgun.
