If you want a fun collection piece this gun is it. It shoots very well. Also has a great history.

Absolute piece of junk. The trigger pull is probably one of the worst I have ever seen. Getting the grip safety depressed while pulling the trigger is challenging. Accuracy at almost point blank range is less than wonderful. I have owned several of the original Colts like this. This gun is a far cry from those. DO NOT BUY IT!

I got my Colt 1903 the next day after ordering! (Thank you Buds!) Wow this thing is impressive. But as the other reviewer noted, it is packed in cosmoline, but that is how the original military pieces would have been shipped, along with the craft box and wax paper. Included is one mag in wax paper, reproduction instructions, and parts listings, then a a modern Colt booklet. I pulled out one of my original commercial 1903's to compare. This reproduction is spot on. Fit and finish is perfect and the park is even in texture and color. The walnut grips are pretty. As far as reproductions go, this is one of the nicest attempts I have seen for any gun. I haven't shot it yet, I was thinking I wouldn't shoot it and save it away, but it has been test fired so shoot it I will.
