Because I was in " mourning" over parting with my S&W Model 17 - I was very happy to replace that loss with this brand new Model 48. It is everything my Model 17 was...Combat Grips, Target Hammer, not uite a wide trigger but WIDE ENOUGH. But the main thing..was to get that S&W trigger pull back. Nothing NOTHING! compares to S&W revolvers. Not Taurus, Ruger, not even COLT - had em all. This pull is heaven on earth. This will be passed on to my grand kids - and their kids! GO GET YOURSELF ONE. NEW outta the box. at BUDS! oops..ok..ok..so the 48 is a .22 magnum not a .22 lr..... Thats even better!!

Buds was great as usual, and their price is the best you can find. I ordered the S&W Mod 17 & the Mod 48 from Buds &, have received both, with No problems. I have not shot either gun & don't know if I will, I just like the older Model look of a classic & will probably buy a couple more in the other calibers when $ permit. The only thing , I wish the Mod 17 22lr had a larger grip. I have larger hands & a larger grip would be nice, other than that both are beautiful guns, & hope when I am gone someone else will enjoy them. I have been dealing with buds for a number of years & have never had a problem. I have always had every gun I ordered insured under Buds policy, that affords me peace of mind if I ever do have an issue with a purchase, cylinder space gap, grips, bluing etc, but I have never had to return a gun, so business continues. I have found a few guns cheaper, but they were sold only to certain groups of people, & I just happened to be in that group at that time, but 95% of the time I don't have that luck, so I deal with buds...I am also a Team Buds Member, which for the price affords me a couple options I would not have, if I wasn't a member, so life go's on, one day at a time...Ya all have a safe day.........

Very beautiful handgun---quality seems to be as good as ever from S&W--- very dependable gun and easy to shoot---- Bud's got this one to me in reasonable time and they will continue to be my " go to" internet gun store ---very pleased all around ---- I did notice however that they have it listed at the lower price, I paid $830.00 --------- John H

Quality Smith & Wesson as always but the addition of the lock and key devalued it.
