Love this firearm! The trigger pull smoothed out on double action after a couple hundred rounds and 2 cleanings. 327 magnum ammo has significantly respectable recoil. But when using 32 H&R magnum ammo the GP 100 shoots like a dream with the recoil more like a 22 magnum!

The thing I like the most about the Ruger 327 Cal. Pistol is that it has such a strong frame. I own four Ruger pistol’s and have never been disappointed with the performance of any of them. Buds gun shop is easy to deal with. I ordered both the Ruger pistol and a Henry rifle in the same 327 caliber. It was five minutes from starting to order to finishing over the phone. Will order again in the future.

I've had a 4" stainless Ruger GP100 for 30 yrs. now. It was my first Duty Gun as a LEO. Always liked it. Now my wife, who prefers revolvers, is getting into shooting more, and has recently got her Carry Permit, needed a training/ carry gun system. Because of old injuries she is very recoil sensitive. I bought her the GP 100 in 327 Federal for Range and Training, and an LCR, same caliber for concealed carry. Her GP100 is just like mine. Same quality, fit and finish, the same [very good] factory trigger, etc. The beauty of this chambering is that 327 Federal loads approach effectiveness of the 357 while generating approx. 40% less recoil. Practice and plinking in 32 S&W Long feels like a 22LR. Now the only criticisms I have: The adjustable sights are not all that visible. A set of Williams adjustables with fiber optics are on their way now. Also 32 caliber rounds in general are not readily available and are expensive. The LCR [same chambering] makes shooting a snubby fun, not the beating you get from a 357. Also remarkably accurate. The transaction with Buds was, as always, fast and smooth.

I absolutely love this revolver! I have fired 200 rounds of federal 85 grain softpoints at steel targets and can say that this definithely has the penetration you need to put the target down. I have a redhawk .44 mag with about the same barrel and its not as smooth, in trigger action or grip, nor as compact as this one I just wish there was a greater selection of ammo. When the shtf, this is what I will be carrying.
