Had this gun for years now. Tack driver. Beautiful gun. Out of the box accurate. Lots of squirrel head shot with this. Buds gun shop was great. Fast shipment to my local ffl.

Finally made it to the range with this new CZ455. I already know after one trip to the range that I am very impressed with this rifle’s looks, performance, and exceptional accuracy. This rifle is going to make many happy days at the range

This is my first CZ rifle and it will not be my last. It is very, very accurate out of box. 50 yards with 22LR cheap-o plinking ammo is right at 1" at 50 yards. Better ammo tightens that up even further. My only advice is to get the CZ 455 combo with the 17 HMR barrel. It will save you around $40 if you buy the barrel later, as I did. The factory trigger on this rifle is right around 2.5-3 pounds which is fine for a hunting rifle, but if you are target shooting, it is a bit heavy. I wish they had their set trigger on this rifle like some of their other bolt actions. Unfortunately, it is not adjustable. I purchased an aftermarket spring kit, and I now have it at around 1 pound, 10 ozs. Much better. The stock is very nice, not super beautiful walnut like the Lux version, but not ugly either. My bolt is not as smooth as I would have anticipated, but maybe it will loosen up with use (I have about 700 rounds through it between 22LR and .17HRM). My only complaint is the very cheap and very hard plastic butt "pad". CZ, that makes it impossible to stand the rifle up on a hard surface and lean it against something. It will slip and fall over. For the price, you should get a thicker, rubberized one that will give you some purchase on your clothing and allow a secure stand. That's really my only criticism. Would not hesitate a minute to purchase another CZ product. I don't know what they do to their cold hammer forged barrels, but boy are those things accurate. PS- the 17HMR barrel is even MORE accurate. Sub-MOA out of box at 50 yards, right at MOA at 100 yards (5-shot groups, bench rested on bags).

If you are looking for a .22 that you can customize to lokke like tha baddest zombie killer of all time to be the most extreme “tacticool” shooter at the range, this rifle isn’t for you. IF however, you are looking for a solid, quality built, accurate .22 that oozes old world craftsmanship then this rifle might just be the one for you. The Turkish walnut stock is inlettetted and checkered with precision. You can’t feel any high spots between the stock and buttplate. The barrel is free floated with aneven gap on both sides of the barrel for the entire length of the barrel. Compared to my Marlin XT which is also a good shooter the bore on the 455 seems to be tighter, perhaps reflecting a different manufacturing process with regards to accuracy. I have tried CCI, Remington (both the cheap Thunderbolts as well as the Golden Bullet) Winchester, Federal and Aquila Hi Speed. It seems to prefer the Aguila but shoots all of them well. I shoot and zero at 50 meters and the Aquila will group consistently at about 3/4 of an inch. The others clsoer to an inch. It comes with a very smooth feeding 5 round magazine but 10 and I beleive 25 round magazines are available. For carrying/hunting I’ll stick with the 5 round. The rifle is light and well balanced and a delight to carry. The safety is bolt mounted and works backwards from what we are used to but takes very little to get used to and is extreemly positive locking both the firing pin and the bolt. All metal parts are steel. The receiver is SOLID and machined from a single stell billet. The bolt will wear in to glass like smoothness with just a little bit of use—-don’t waste your time following youtube examples of polishing your bolt. A little bit of honest use will do the trick. And it’s NOT rough to start by any means! Warne makes machined solid steel rings for about $30. Leupold will run over twice as much and aren’t any better from what I’ve seen. American firearm manufacturers seem obsessed with making guns as cheaply as possible, and that I’m sure is a reflection of the American gun buyer, but if you want quality look at this rifle. I am going to get at least two more, a .22 magnum and the 25 inch barreled Trainer instead of just swapping barrels, but that is an option with this rifle.

Being a CZ fan, I was expecting a good gun, but even I was surprised, especially at this price point. The build quality on this rifle is superb. The finish on the steel, the wood stock, and the checkering are all exceptional. As soon as you work the bolt and pull the 2.5 lb trigger, you know this is a quality rifle. The fit and finish of the parts reminds me of my first Mercedes. I have only been able to shoot it once, at 25 yards, but after installing a scope, and making adjustments to bring it to zero, I was able to put 8 shots through a hole the size of a dime, with cheap ammo. Accuracy is much more predictable with a bolt-action rifle than a semi-auto, and this CZ is one of the most popular .22 target rifles around, second only to the Anschutz (which costs 3-4 times as much). It is clear why.

This is a quality rifle. The stock is very nice walnut. The tigger is great. I put a leupold vx2 3x9x40 on it. It shots great. Buds gun shop was fast on delivery. Will buy from them again.

Quick delivery from Buds got this rifle to me in just a couple of days, no damage or any issues at all with delivery. After cleaning and firing a few times I felt the bolt was a bit stiff, but before I could get annoyed a few more cleanings and firing sessions had the bolt lightening up and my reservations disappeared. Lock up is tight and feels secure, not a toy. Accuracy was more than fine with a 3-9 Nikon Prostaff scope and Warne dovetail mounts. The checkering on the stock is great and gives this rimfire a big gun feel which I found appealing, the wood is acceptable but not inspiring, but where do you find that these days? . After considering a host of options I decided on this CZ .22 and am glad I did. For my taste the trigger is just about right, somewhere in the 3 to 3.5 lb range and just a hint of predictable movement before breaking. All good as far as I'm concerned. Shooting half inch groups at 50 yds is pretty much the norm depending upon weather and shooting conditions. Glad I made this purchase from Buds. Would certainly recommend this rifle to anyone looking for a quality bolt action rimfire with a solid feel and quality built in.

What a great little gun. This was my first CZ, but I liked it so much I bought two more. The wood and blueing are beautiful. The bolt is smooth and the trigger is crisp. It’s very accurate, although I haven’t shot more than 50 yds yet.

WOW! Took the CZ455 to the range for the first time on Tuesday. After realizing that my scope bore sighting was off, I zeroed my Nikon Prostaff II 3-9 x 40 to 25 yards. From there I went out to 50 and was consistently hitting quarter size groups with CCI Standard Velocity ammo. That said, I started out with big box Federal and Remington which both preformed admirably. I couldn't ask for anything more. I may tune the trigger a little so that the groups get even better.

CZ 455 American, a sweet gun. Well made, fit and finish are very nice. Everything worked well with a little cleaning & lube. Trigger is very good, rifle seems accurate and smooth. I waited a long time to buy this gun. Did a lot of research. It is exactly what I thought I was buying. First trip to the range was excellent. Delivery was pretty slow but it was the holiday season so I just had to be patient. There was a full two week delay from order to delivery and the gun was drop shipped from a different distributor. I guess good things are worth waiting for. All-in-all I'm happy with the gun and the service, so far.

Quality is no question with the CZ's. I had some doubts being this one one was the "American" version........rest your fears, trigger is awesome and accuracy is on par with the longer barrel euro specs.

I received my new CZ 455 American .22 LR in pristine condition. Installed my scope, bore sighted it and then went to the range. took 2 shots to hit the X @50 yds. Next day went to a CMP Rimfire Sporter match and had my best outing yet. This gun is well made, performed flawlessly and is incredibly accurate. I would recommend this Gun to anybody except the people I compete against!! In all seriousness Buy This Gun!! Great Price and the service was great! Thanks to Buds Gun Shop

Buds service great as always. Very beautiful rifle. Sighted it in with 6 rounds and it shoots like a dream. Very accurate and bolt is nice. I need to adjust the trigger a little but overall very nice out of the box.

This rifle is absolutely one of the best 22LR Bolt Action firearms on the market. With an excellent fit and finish, the wood and checkering are unsurpassed. It comes with one five round magazine. Scope rings are not included. Trigger pulls is adjustable and is between 3-4 pounds out of the box. Expect 1/2 MOA shots at 50 yards, this gun also shoots very tight groups at 100 yards. This is an heirloom quality gun, one that can be handed down to family members for generations. Expect nothing but the best from CZ, I would give this firearm a Five Star product rating, or Excellent as Good doesn't come close to being an accurate description. I highly recommend this rifle, purchase one for yourself and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

The 455 american is a very nice .22 sporter. Mine came with decent wood and good fit/finish. There are a few differences from the older 452's, the thing that jumped out at me is that the 455 has a straight taper contour on the barrel. The 452 has more of a stepped contour just past the chamber. I can't tell any difference between the fit and finish of this rifle and the 452's I have handled. Both are very good. The gun handles well, although I think that 5 1/2 lbs may be an optimistically light estimate on the weight. a Leupold 2-7x rimfire scope fits perfectly on this rifle with Warne rimfire rings. The rifle feels a little muzzle-light to me, but no more so than the old 452 american. As far as accuracy is concerned, it shoots exactly as I would expect of a CZ. Typical CCI subsonics go into 3/4" to 1" for 5 shots at 50 yds, Wolf match wrings out 3/4" and sometimes 1/2" groups at 50 yds. Trigger pull is 5 1/4 lbs, too much. be prepared to replace or tune the trigger.
