This is one Crist shooting 1911 right out of the box. No failure to feed, fire, eject during the break-in 200 rounds, not afterwards. It likes FMJ, Hornady Critical Defense and Critical Duty equally well. Great shooter for me, having started my handgun life with well worn military issue 1911s, this gun is tight, great trigger. Works well with Wilson Arms magazines as well as those issued with it.

This is my second Para Ordinance 1911 and like the first this one has been great.Reliable function and nice triggers.

You can't go wrong with a Para. Purchased this last year and have nearly 1000 rounds through it. Not one FTF of FTE! Fit and finish is nice and tight. Only gripe I have is that it shoots low out of the box. About 4" low at 20yds. I plan on upgrading the sights. When I received my gun, only one magazine was included. A quick call the Para and my second magazine was in the mail. Excellent customer service. I give it a 4 of 5 only because of the sighting issue. Nothing that can't be corrected, but it's always nice if it's spot on out of the box.

Got my Para Elite Commander in yesterday and it looks amazing. Buds had a great turn around and delivery time. 9 days from the time I ordered it. I will order from Buds from now on.

Finally got to DROS the Para Commander. It is absolutely beautiful. The Cocobolo grips have a tiger stripe grain on both sides which just pops! Shoots awesome right out of the box. No FTF or FTEs so far. This is by far, the best Commander I have ever owned. The only "gripe" is it has the full size handle which cuts down on concealment but, heck you get the full 8+1 capacity of my full size Para. There are only three new paras on the Calif DOJ listing. The full size Elite 96663, the Elite Commander 96667 and a ducks unlimited version. I just wish Para would get more approved, especially the Executive line. Para continues to crank out very well priced 1911s. Buds, as usual, was extremely fast (as fast as Calif allows) and I had to wait 30 days to run the gun because I had just run another one. And, if you buy out of state, you have to pay taxes on the gun, shipping, and insurance!! All in all Buds rocks! Love you guys!
