A very solid pistol, a copy of the CZ SP01, uses the same magazines, fairly accurate and will do fine in the local pistol match.

Nice clone to the CZ 75. Shoots and functions just as my SP01 Shadow. Came with a steel recoil spring guide.

Bought this P120 during the pandemic and given the situation, Buds got it to my FFL really fast! A+! I already have a CZ SP-01 and if I had to compare it to the P120, there are many similarities, all good. The P120 has a really smooth and crisp DA pull and the SA pull is unexpectedly light and amazing for a sub $500 weapon. I took both the CZ SP-01 and the P120 apart and many of the parts are the same, however, the firing pins, sear and barrel differ slightly. The sights are to be expected, traditional 3 dot. The grips are ok but can be changed with any SP-01 or 75 grips. It shoots Like a dream, low recoil, fast enough trigger and as accurate as you could want in a budget pistol. Overall, if you're looking into getting a CZ SP-01, the P120 is a better option because it has a great price, few hundred less anyway and is a great competition weapon and worth its weight.

The P120 is an excellent clone of a CZ SP01. It is big and heavy and shoot very softly. Beware, though, I'm having some issues with hammer bite because the beaver tail is too short. And the sights are short, dots are very small. Overall, I highly recommend this pistol. Especially, if you want to save over $200 for the price of an SP01.
Bud's, as usual, is easy to buy from. It shipped to my FFL in a timely manner.

This is my second Canik Cz-75 clone, the first one is a 2013 production year. The 2013 has a cold hammer forged barrel (noted in manual) and terrible grips. This 2019 does not have a CHF Barrel (not noted in manual), but the grips are quite good. The barrel on this 2019 P120 is also not crowned (at all); it looks like it was rough-cut with a chopsaw and boxed. Despite its rough looks, however, I was able to shoot very tight groups with it straight out of the box. I consistently got 2" groups at 10m and 3" at 15m. Interestingly, I retrieved one bullet that showed very uneven deformation from the lands (positively from this barrel), but it's accurate somehow. Other than the barrel, the fit and finish on this P120 are great and the trigger is pretty decent. Although it's a CZ clone, you can't just swap a CZ barrel into it. Other parts are interchangeable, however (see Practical Shooter's discussion on YouTube https://youtu.be/rhjt1s6ZGaA). Overall, it's a great gun, but I'm disappointed that the barrel quality has gone down so much while the price has slightly increased. I would say that this is a great beach, boat, or truck gun, but I can't speak to the longevity of the barrel yet. It's possible that this particular barrel skipped a step on the quality control line. I may contact TriStar and see what they say.

After doing some research on the P120 I decided to order one on Buds, and I am glad I did. This pistol is outstanding. The fit and finish is perfect and after 500 rounds of mixed 9mm ammo it has worked flawlessly with ZERO issues. The included plus 2 mec gar mags are great, People complain about this pistols weight, but most don’t realize it is a full size gun, the weight is nice cause it reduces the felt recoil for faster shot placements. If you are concerned about about the accessory rail being to shallow, don’t be. I’m running mine with a TLR-1 and it fits perfect. If you are thinking about buying this pistol, do it , you won’t be disappointed.

Another high quality gun from Canik/Tristar. Finish and fit is superb. Magazines included are high quality. No unfinished edges or blemishes, came well lubed and packaged. Grips are perfect from the factory - comfortable, ergo-shaped and has good grip surface. Sights are good - good enough not to do anything about them. There is absolutely no need to do anything to this mechanical marvel. As expected, new gun is little stiff in function, but getting smoother after each range session and cleaning. Trigger breaks little too far out for my taste, have to change my grip and technique to prevent front sight fish-tail post break, however, for purpose of pleasure range shooting and maintaining a collection - its fine. I have little doubt these will go up in price within a couple of years, Tristar guns are tremendous value for the money.

So far they have lived up to that, I purchased my gun on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it was shipped out on Friday . My FFL will receive it on Tuesday. So thank you buds I will be making many many more purchases through you.

Heavy but quality build right here. Looks and feels just as good as a CZ. Shoots like one as well. For hundreds cheaper than a real CZ. Not knocking CZ but if your budget friendly here ya go.

Very well built gun. Spot on accuracy. Too heavy for all day cc. Cajun gun works carries dawson fiber optic front and trapezoid rear sights for the gun just make sure the front is 6.5mm. All in all a very well made gun for the money.

I currently own 4 other Canik/TriStar handguns. This one is a beast as far as weight is concerned. Fit and finish are second to none. I would put this up in a level field against my Sig's that I also own and shoot. You will not be disappointed by the look and feel and it also shoots too boot. The Mec-Gar magazines are also a bonus. Buy one, and shoot it and you will see what people are talking about. Enjoy

I purchased the gun 8 month ago and have 1000 rounds through it. Not a single problem Heavy, 41 oz and very comfortable to shoot. It is a clone of CZ 75 SP-01, I have this one too, and the only difference I found is CZ grip is slimmer. My only complaint is the trigger has a very long take up, which is typical for all Tristar gun. It is easy to convert the gun to a target one as CZ parts are easily available. I did and I am very much satisfied with what I got. I definitely recommend this gun.

I have already put 150 rounds through it. It is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot. I was able to put 79 out of 83 rounds inside the 9 ring at 25 feet at the range. Like the other reviewer said, many of the CZ parts are compatable with this pistol, but it's great out of the box. The one gripe I have is the finish. The finish is a black cerakote and in some places the finish has a super fine sand paper feel to it and will collect little bits of lint when you wipe it down with a cloth. This is my second tristar, and the other one has a much smoother uniform finish throughout. Not sure if I just got a bad copy or if Tristar has changed their coating process. I also noticed a scratch in the finish right under the slide release. Luckily you don't see it unless the gun is apart.

Good gun for the money. Not even close to the same quality as my SP01 shadow custom, but at only a 1/3 the price I didn't expect it to be. I have turned mine in to a real shooter with a few aftermarket parts and a trigger job and some tuning. A lot of the CZ parts work just fine with a little bit of fitting. Trigger reset is long but very positive. You have no problem feeling it in the trigger finger. The sights suck so I replaced them with a set from Cajun Gun Works. The other thing that this gun needs is an over travel screw in the trigger like on a CZ85. The gun tracks very close to the same as my Shadow, just a very slightly larger grip. Mine seems to group pretty well. Probably about the best sub $400 pistol on the market. I would have given it 5 starts if it came with better sights. Its a high quality value line gun.

This gun is amazing It is all steel so it is heavier. I have the L version also and the P version is definitely a lot heavier. The frame is not alloy. It takes CZ75 magazines. I would definitely recoment this gun. Buds took a long time to ship this but the gun is an excellent value!

First off, excellent firearm for the money. This is a Turkish made firearm, manufactured by Canik55. It appears to me that Canik is attempting to clone the CZ75 SP01. It has a general appearance of the SP01 and it does ship with two 19 round magazines (17 rounders with 2 baseplates). It has a front accessory rail for those who are interested in that and is an all steel frame. Initially the reports were that is was an alloy frame, but it is all steel as a magnet can attest to. The finish on mine was very good. I've gotten other caniks and tristars where the cerakote wasn't quite perfect, but I could find no issues with mine really. The grip panels are cheap black plastic with no decent texture to them, but are standard fare for the tristar pistols. Thankfully the grip screw holes line up almost perfectly with the CZ75 so just about any CZ75 grips will fit, although some may require minor fitting, such as enlarging the screw hole on the grip. The sights were pretty basic, nothing great, but functional. They are not adjustable other than windage by drifting the rear sight. The trigger, very good. The Caniks have very consistent triggers, I've found. They are a little stiff when you first get them, but within 200-300 rounds (or through dry firing I'm sure) they work in very nicely. The single action pull is very crisp and not too heavy. The double action is a heavier of course, but generally smooth with some stacking at the end of the pull. These guns do not have a decocker, if that's what you're looking for, they have a standard manual safety that can be engaged with the hammer back or hammer down. So it could be carried hammer down and on safe, if you were to manually decock it (which isn't advised if you are a novice shooter). Of course it can be carried hammer back and on safe (cocked and locked). When i say carry though, I would think this would only be done on the side in an OWB holster, I can't see someone carrying this concealed due to it's weight. It is a 2.5 lb gun. This of course aids in recoil absorption and follow up shots. Onto that, it shoots very good. Soft recoil, no malfunctions whatsoever. Very good and inexpensive CZ clone. I would recommend it to anyone looking at one of these as a range gun, home defense gun, or even (or should say especially) a duty carry firearm.
