This is a long term review. This is the best wood's gun I own and the cheapest. Very light and accurate. This is a tool that gets the job done.

Savage makes great rifles and this is no exception. I love the 7mm-08 very great caliber. I wanted to do a build that I have followed from The Social Regressive on youtube. The Idea is to make a 1000yard competition rifle for under $500. So far it is correct. I have purchase the boyds pro varmint stock, which did take a little fitment and filing to make it work. Then I epoxy bedded the action and steel pillar bedded it as well for the mounting screws. Paired it up with a Bushnell 6-24x40 scope, mainly due to it was what i already had, and works great. I have shot this rifle up too 300 yards and have 1in groups using Hornady 150gr ELD-x rounds. No malfunctions, and no issues what so ever. The scope that came on this. I put on my Ruger 22 Precision Rifle, and works great, glass is very clear, and the rings are great. The trigger pull on this i have right now at 3 lbs. I am very happy with the quality of the rifle especially for the cost and also with Buds
