The best 'fighting gun' I own. I will never get rid of it. It's fast on the draw, quick to maneuver, totally dependable, tough as nails; and it has a comforting standard capacity.

although i have been carrying Glock pistols for over two decades now i had yet to find one that just felt right in my hand until this purchase. the Glock 45 balances and carrys better than all others. with the short slide you get ease of carry and still have large mag capacity with the full frame. i chose to carry with one of the beavertail grips installed and it is a big improvement over a standard earlier generation Glock. plus of course 100 percent Glock reliability.

This was my personal introduction to Glock handguns, and it could very well be one of, if not my favorite gun I own. It is a very pointable gun. I’ve heard people complain about Glock grip angles before but I just don’t see it. Again, it is my first and only Glock though. There’s something very natural feeling about grabbing the gun from your holster and being able to get your sights on target right from a draw with very little to no adjustment. The Ameriglo Night sights are great in my opinion. That big orange circle during the day is easy to pick up. I usually prefer blacked out rear sights but the two tritium inserts are good too. They have a good tight glow at night or in darker environments. I’m glad these came stock with front serrations as I always perform press checks. They’re very easy to grip and rack with. Take down is very simple as with all Glock’s. It does have a polymer captive guide rod that I will definitely end up replacing only because I prefer steel guide rods for the added weight. 3 17rd magazines which I absolutely appreciate. And the option of 4 other interchangeable back straps. Of course I immediately installed the large beaver tail because I like to get as high of a grip as possible and I usually end up getting slide bite sooner or later. If you do not own one yet and are wondering if you should purchase one. Don’t hesitate. I would however recommend looking into the MOS models if you think you’ll be adding a red dot. I didn’t notice there was an MOS model and now I’ll have to either purchase a new slide with the cut for a red dot or get my current slide milled. I probably could’ve done without the Ameriglo NS personally, since my intent now is to use this gun for competition and I’d need to get suppressor height sights anyway. Still my favorite gun though.
