  Richard, I believe they used to but have now switched to a soft case that looks like this: https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/prodimages/alt_images/saint-soft-case1.jpg
  on the SA site it lists soft case for this model number as well under specs: https://www.springfield-armory.com/products/saint-5-56-w-free-float-handguard/#ST916556ODGFFH

  Richard, this is a mid-length gas system. The stock, grip, and trigger guard are all Magpul and the handguard is just listed as "M-Lok Aluminum SA Pat.
