The XD-S Mod.2 is for the CCW aficionado who wants a small, powerful pistol for self-defense. It features a host of updates that offers even better ergonomics and sight options than the original. Engineered in a slim, single-stack frame, the XD-S Mod.2 boasts upgrades from the inside out. It's got a higher hand position, enhanced grip texturing and thin slide for comfortable carry all day and unrelenting reliability when called upon. The XD-S Mod.2 OSP model features a milled slide for low-profile, direct mounting of micro red dots. It also has a 3.30" hammer forged barrel and includes both 7 and 9 round magazines.

Springfield Armory always makes a good solid product. I was not disappointed with this purchase have used it as a carry-on and as a range gun. As always, no complaints doing business with buds.

I’ve put about 600-700 rounds through it now . Have a Ritton red dot on it as well . Have not had any malfunction or stove pipes really good piece . With the short barrel and sub compact size it’s perfect for ccw and up to 15 yards for accuracy. I think for the price it’s an unsung hero in the Springfield line up . Comes with 7 and 9 rd metal magazines which are high quality. They do have 8 rd as well the 8 and 9 have pinky extensions which gives you better control . For under 400 you can go wrong plus has ambi mag release . Smaller shooters may want to opt for the longer barrel . In this size I would def suggest sticking to the 9mm . Def recommend this . Very reliable , easy to breakdown and clean . Get it when Springfield runs the range pack special 3 extra mags and small range bag . Takes about 2 months to recieve those but the sent me 3 8rd mags .

The xds mod 2 is great firearm,love the grip safety and shooting it great also. The optics cut makes it easy to attach a red dot,sweet.

I love this gun. Slim and compact, with super easy to use controls, with a decent trigger. The guide rod extends beyond the barrel to prevent the gun from going out of battery in emergency close contact shooting, and the heavy trigger combined with grip safety makes this a perfect hold out gun
