Did Ruger quit making the 15 + 1 model of this pistol ? can't find it anywhere

Lt. Col. Wayne, I cannot find the 15rd model either. This is very strange I have to say but, magazines are readily available. Maybe Ruger will be the best source of the status of this pistol at Telephone: 336-949-5200 / (Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm ET).

Lt. Col. Wayne S, I am not aware of a Ruger American 45 ACP handgun shipping with 15 round capacity magazine. Every Ruger American 45 ACP review, article, forum I looked at featured a 10 round capacity magazine. Matter of fact that was one of the complaints the capacity for the firearms size. May be out there. I could not find mention of one.

Is this California compliant?

Patricio - I guess Ruger has not seen fit to pay California the "ransom money" necessary to get this pistol on the 'approved' list. So, it can't be shipped to California. Sorry. Patricio, it is not. To be legal in California, it would have to have passed CA stringent test protocols and be placed on the CA DOJ Approved Roster. That list is here for Ruger : https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/certguns?make=Sturm%2C+Ruger+%26+Co.
