Ruger 5439 LCR LCRx Single/Double 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (WMR) 1.87" 6 rd Black Hogue Tamer Monogrip Grip Black Ruger's LCR is a lightweight, small-frame revolver with a uniquely smooth trigger and highly manageable recoil. It features a monolithic frame with a grip peg allowing for use of a variety of grip styles, and an extensively fluted, high-strength stainless steel cylinder with a PVD finish for excellent durability. The patented, friction-reducing cam is a next generation design in fire control systems resulting in a smooth, non-stacking trigger pull. Its patented, polymer fire control housing holds the fire control components in their proper dimensional relationships, reduces weight significantly, and helps reduce recoil. LCR revolvers have a replaceable, pinned ramp front sight with white bar. CRx models feature an external hammer that allows it to be fired in single-action mode. This is the worst Ruger I’ve ever handled. Cylinder won’t open and shut without a rubber mallet. Not kidding. The trigger is so heavy my wife could barely pull it with two fingers. It’s gritty, and sloppy. I expect a brand new gun to be able to at least function on a basic level. This gun is trash, plain and simple.

I am a long time fan of ruger. I have bought 5 in as many months. I have sent 3 back for repairs. The LCRx (22mag) was by far the most disappointing. The cylinder will not shut /open. The ejector rod has to be forced to function. The trigger pull will vary from a long adequate pull to excessively hard and it feels like a shovel on gravel. Wait a few minutes and it will reverse shortfalls. I swore I would never buy another Ruger with the last pistol I sent back. Complete JUNK, could have been made in China as far as I am concerned. If you think this can't happen to you remember 5 pistols, 3 returns. Poor odds I think.

I have owned a number of Ruger firearms over the years, and been very satisfied. However, I am very disappointed in this little gun I bought for my wife. The trigger pull, both single and double action is extremely hard and she has much difficulty firing the weapon. I will be contacting Ruger and see if there is any possibility of fixing this issue. Very happy with the service and delivery performed by Bud's Guns.

After picking up at my FFL I did a light cleaning and went to the range. Shot 100 rounds mix of Winchester and CCI and shot flawless. Double action was a little heavy but manageable.

The service from Bud's was the usual..., EXTRAORDINARY.
The double-action trigger on this gun is VERY HEAVY, and I've been dry-firing the heck out of it using yellow wall anchors as snap caps. No discernible difference at this time with the trigger, but my trigger finger is getting stronger and calloused. I bought this gun for my wife, and she can barely pull the trigger in double-action. The trigger on my SP101 4" .22LR is much easier to pull. I highly recommend not buying this gun until the intended recipient has an opportunity to try the trigger in double-action, and this will probably be a deal breaker.

Ruger workmanship at its finest. This is my wife's "go to gun" and it's accurate, lightweight and recoil is easy to handle. My wife lacks the strength to rack all the semi autos that she has tried and was not in love with the available tip up barrels that are out there. Highly recommended and fun to shoot!
