The A2 MF series brings the Steyr pistol line into the modern world and beyond sporting features and a redesigned frame. The grip module features a re-contoured grip and the addition of modular grip panels offered in various sizes, helps ensure a proper fit. An aggressive texture has been applied to the handle to maximize the traction of the grip. The A2 MF incorporates a flared magwell, which offers a wider opening to reduce reloading time. It maintains the high grip angle and low bore axis that offers uncompromising comfort and recoil mitigation. Forward slide serrations have been added for positive grip when manipulating the slide. Steyr Arm's proprietary trapezoid sights come standard on the A2 MF and offer a refined quick acquisition combat sighting system. The A2 MF series blends these features with the original timeless design of a multi-function pistol chassis that has set the industry standard that others follow.

Excellent pistol. The trigger is great, even if it has a reset that is very hard to detect. I really like the “triangle” sights. They quickly become intuitive to use. I shot 200 rounds on my first trip with the gun. Weights were 115 gr., 124 gr., and 147 gr. This included some reloads and steel case ammo. Flawless reliability with all and accuracy was awesome. Luckily, Buds has spare magazines for this gun at a pretty reasonable price so I grabbed a third. They can be hard to find. Holsters are limited for this gun but there are three or four options from some of the mass producers out there if you don’t want to go full custom. All in all, really happy with this pistol! My new favorite polymer striker fired!

As it comes , the grip inserts on the side are flat. When you change them it gives the gun a different feel, much more rounded on the sides. Not sure if I like it but gonna try it for awhile. As for POA, same as gen 1. Trigger is very close to the first one. Main improvement I see is the grip texturing. Easy to hold on to, just either feels like a textured 2x3 or swells in different places. The mags in gen 1 fit the gen 2 (tried that and it’s true) heard that gen 2 needs filing to fit the gen 1. Shoots great but so does the first one, same sights. If you have the first model, not sure if it’s worth $600 to get the gen 2. Especially since I only paid -$450 for the first on. But that’s gun prices now. Would give 5 stars but not enough improvement from the first.

Great firearm. My fourth Steyr. Love the improvements to the second generation Steyr. Trigger is even better on the A2 if you can imagine a better trigger than the A1
