Purchased this pistol about two months ago from Bud's. My first trip to the range was a bit disappointing. Gun and factory magazine refused to feed three different factory loadings. Mag was replaced with 10mm Cobra magazines from Tripp Research, and the gun then went through 100 rounds without a single failure to feed. Gun was delivered with the rear sight turned all the way down, but the pistol still shot 6"- 7" high at 25 yards. Front sight will be replaced with a taller fiber optic insert. Overall, first visual impressions... fit and finish were excellent. No significant machine marks or burrs. Trigger a bit rough, but it's a new pistol. Fire control internals will probably be replaced with EGW parts. Feed ramp needs to be polished a bit also. OK value for the money but be prepared to spend a bit of cash to get it running reliably.

Beautiful pistol, feels great, very accurate. Makes a big hole with hollow points. I recommend Bud’s due to their exceptional customer service.

I really like this pistol, it is very tight fit from the factory and was a little difficult to strip the first time. After a thorough cleaning I door shot 50 rounds through it. It fails to go completely into battery on the first two rounds out of the magazine each time, but the other 6 function perfectly. I think this is most likely a magazine problem or a break in period issue. Not super concerned. Will try a Wilson magazine if problems persist.

I do not recommend this product. I have a number of 1911s and have never had any issues with them. They all operate as intended. Since purchasing the EAGLE XL. Iver Johnson has put more rounds through it than I have. During its first outing, I was only able to put 50 rounds through it before it began to malfunction and I was not even able to remove the barrel when disassembling. I sent the product in and was informed that it was repaired (taking 1 month). After receiving the 1911 back, I disassembled and inspected it along with oiling the firearm. I took it to the range and was only able to fire ONE round before the slide locked up on it. I do not recommend this product and regret ever purchasing.

Love this 10mm pistol. It is heavy enough to absorb a lot of the 10mm recoil. There is not a lot of barrel rise on firing. It does produce fire donuts from the barrel when fired. It is a 10mm pistol. It looks as good as the picture. Mine was accurate out of the box. It is already cut for a red dot. It is a 10mm pistol. The long slide on this 1911 makes it a formidable looking weapon. And did I mention it is a 10mm pistol.

Gun arrived missing the white dot on the front site, just a black blade with a hole in it. Pretty poor quality control to miss something so obvious. Haven't shot it yet, still waiting to hear back from iver johnson.

Excellent Long Slide 1911. Well made, accurate and reliable with about 200 rounds of Speer Lawman 10mm so far. Happy with the purchase. Good value for the money.

This is a very nice gun. Fit and finish is great functions flawlessly and very accurate. I would recommend to all.

Purchased this 1911 10mm about a wk ago and just got to the Range today,first of all this pistol is a well built firearm,fit and finish are outstanding for this price range,better than some more expensive pistols.At the Range today it performed flawlessly,and is a very accurate pistol,Buds did a great job getting it to me and I am well pleased with the pistol.Will buy from buds again!Great job!
