This Springfield is great and it really is a perfect carry gun!

Love the feel of this gun. It is a perfect size to me. It shoots well too. For safety reasons, I love that the first shot is double action and then following shots are single action. This is a rarity to find that combination. I also like a manual safety which this has. The slide is the easiest to rack of any gun I ever held.
I also love the easy to see sights on it. As an owner of Glocks, Rugers, Smith and Wesson, i can say this is my favorite handgun.

Excellent EDC DA/SA. As someone who like DA/SA for a ton of reasons I have always found it difficult to carry them daily due to their typica size compared to your tiny shields and G43s and while you’re not gonna make this gun disappear into a pocket it’s thin and suited for EDC. The EDC package was nice as it provided a nice range soft case and several extra mags. I would ditch the holster immediately. It doesn’t even fit the gun in a safe way as the trigger is still partially exposed. Some of the gear up promo packages came with a paddle holster which would have been nice as this soft holster wasn’t even worth them sending so definately plan for a holster purchase to go with this. All in all satisfied though.

not too crazy about the mag. release button but otherwise its great. little bit larger than i expected too.

ordered and received in about 2 days (quick) great price and staff was helpful but was told this qualified for the gear up package and it did not. not happy about that and customer service at Springfield Armory basically said tough. would have liked the hard case and that was one of the reasons that I purchased this hand gun not real happy about that. if Buds could help that would be great

Fits my grip like a full size pistol but is compact enough for concealed carry. Love the red fiber optic front site.

Have had possession or the gun for about a week and a half. Took it to the range once, fired 126 rounds, had one minor feed problem. "It works" is the best I can say about it. Doubt I'ever take it to the range again, it will be in the next local auction I find. Just not "MY" cup of tea.

This firearm performed flawlessly with first 100 rounds. My only complaint is the trigger on double action. It's very uncomfortable and I think should be improved on. Once you get to single action position, it is great. Given that single downside, I am marginally satisfied with this model.

Another great pistol from Springfield. I finally got a chance to take it out yesterday and I ran over 100rnds through it without issue. I didn't even clean and relube it prior to shooting just to see how it would hold up. Very heavy trigger in double action but single action trigger is great, even though it's nowhere near being broken in good yet. A couple of my buddies were with me and they were also impressed by it. I bought this bundle during the gear up promotion and now I've got now mags than I'll probably ever need for this pistol. Great pistol at a great price and a great first-time experience with Bud's. I will be a returning customer.

This is and excellent get I have a disabled and the slide is the easiest to rack of any gun I have and buds is the best this is the third gun I have brought from them.

Pistol is super easy to take apart and clean. Started to break the gun in and very impress with it's accuracy. Only real dislike for me was the grip surface which was fixed by using a Hogue Hardball Beaver Tail grip sleeve from a different model (use one for a Glock 42 ) was about 1/8" short in length and must follow Hogue's instructions for installing since it is a snug fit. Single action mode is great, double action mode is a very long and heavy pull, but does work as a great safety feature to prevent an accidental discharge. The XDe is a moderately price " hammer " gun with excellent features for a person who is not into striker fire pistols. The design engineers and employees from Springfield Armory who have been involved this pistol should be very proud of this well made firearm. Gun is a replacement for my 1987 Ruger P85, and the XDe is a dream to shoot with very little felt recoil. Thank you Bud's for the great service and fair pricing.

This is an excellent pistol - great value for the money. Solidly built, with great fit and finish. It is not a "small" pistol -- it fits right in there with the new generation of single-stack pistols that is big enough to get a good grip, flat enough to conceal IWB, but perhaps just a little too big for pocket carry (the G43X and G48, and the M&P Shield, are roughly the same size). The red fiber optic front sight 'pops' and is easy to see. The controls -- mag release and safety/decocker -- are well situated and easy to operate, while still solid and defined. Some reviews complain about the length of the reach to the trigger when in DA; that depends on the individual, so my recommendation is to go to your local gun store or range with rental guns and get a feel for the gun and whether it works for you [I have medium sized hands and have no trouble with it]. The trigger is a fairly long but not heavy DA press, just as it should be; and the SA trigger press is just right. This is my first Springfield and I am impressed.

Another outstanding deal from Buds!! The soft case, front fiber optic sight (metal front and rear sights) and 4 mags just was icing on the cake. The XD-E is a perfect SD handgun. DA/SA with de cocker feature and very good trigger. Bought the gun online the afternoon of New Years day and received it today ....afternoon of 1/4/19.

Pretty much perfect. I fired a couple of rentals a bunch before deciding I wanted one. Helps to know what it will be like 5000 rounds out and with spotty maintenance. They were perfect performers and of course Springfield has a well-deserved reputation for quality. These Croatian XD pistols appear to be every bit as good as you can get from anyone. Being a "hammer gun" fan, this met a special need for me. The manual safety is not the only one like it in the industry, but it is SO darned good! I've owned and used a 1911 for so many years that "cocked and locked" is just natural for me. Can do it here. Can also de-cock very safely with the same lever instead of always believing your thumb will work even though it has for over fifty years. Then you can also push that safety UP with the hammer dropped, locking the slide, hammer, and trigger. Of course, from a loaded chamber and dropped hammer, with the safety "off", you take your first shot DA and then go into SA. Safety is ambidextrous. It has among the best triggers, for me, of the DA/SA guns, and I absolutely LOVE the reset! Very clear tactile signal yet the "slack" is so light and smooth you never notice the length of pull. Cocking with the slide is indeed "low effort" as they claim. (Starting with the hammer cocked makes it almost zero effort!) The sights are great and the grip is as good as a CZ, which is to say perfect for me. My 1911s have always been refitted with arched mainspring housings because they fit me better. Pistol comes up to my eyes easily and on target without thinking about it. At CQC distance it points as natural as your index finger. The fiber-optic front sight is wonderful for out a little farther. Sure, it's a single-stacker, but I've relied on a J-Frame .38 as my EDC for over forty years. This holds at least three more, to as many as five. Reloads are much quicker. Ambidextrous mag release is in the "correct" place, and the mags drop free every time. 9mm now has some of the most impressive loadings to choose for defense with much more energy than a .38. My first day with this XDe gives me confidence it will handle any safe load. Never a hiccup of any kind with 147 gr down to 115 gr, from FMJ to JHP. In fact, I've fired probably 500 various rounds including commercial reload "range fodder" through three different XDe pistols the past year, and have NEVER had a hiccup of any kind. A few hundred more through it for confidence and to decide the load(s) I like and trust and this will become my EDC, as was intended. All in all it's a great pistol. maybe the best for me, and I strongly suggest you consider one. I simply cannot find a negative to discuss.

I absolutely love this little gun. It shoots great, feels good in the hand and I was very impressed with its performance. I have to admit I was not to excited when I got this gun. But I was surprised by every aspect of this gun. It performed flawlessly I shot about 300 rounds mix hollow point and ball with no problems. And the fact that it comes with a decent carry holster and 4 mags. this gun is a steal. And you won’t be disappointed.

I would rather carry a decocked hammer gun than a striker fired pistol with one in the pipe, so this gun interested me. It is slim, relatively high capacity (8 or 9 +1 in 9mm) and has good ergonomics. The fiber optic front sight is nice. The trigger reset is very short on the SA pull. The slide is easy to rack as they advertise, although racking a slide has never been an issue for me. The extended mag is nice for range shooting, but I won't carry with it because the extra round isn't worth the extra size. I've put 500 rounds through with no malfunctions. This is my first Springfield and I really like it. Some people are still dogging Springfield for their mistake in Illinois, but fact is I've been waiting for someone to make this gun for a long time. Service from Bud's was excellent as usual.
