This is my first Bersa pistol and I was impressed. The firearm is a soft shooter and even was able to reliably fire cheap ammo that I had that wouldn't cycle almost any other semi-auto handgun that I owned. No FTFs or FTEs. I would certainly recommend this pistol to others that are interested, especially hose who don't want to break the bank. Another plus is that magazines and accessories for this firearm are readily available.

Haven’t had a chance to go out and shoot this firearm yet. But as far as the purchase buds gun shop was great! Very efficient, and fast. And kept me informed of the progress of water along the way. Would highly recommend buds gun shop for any future firearm purchases

Before buying the threaded barrel version, I had bought and used the TPR9C (compact version). I was very impressed with that previous purchase and thus decided to try the full-size version. This TPR9 "threaded barrel" version is everything I thought it would be and is a fine addition to my collection.
---
I chose this version because the threaded barrel version (4.75" barrel) tends to yield better ballistic performance than the standard (4.25") and compact versions (3.25"). Despite that I have not used the threaded barrel for use with a suppressor, I was surprised to discover that the factory included an O-ring along with the thread protector--this practically eliminates the need to constantly re-tighten the thread protector during a trip to the range. Otherwise, the threaded barrel seems to perform as one would expect a threaded barrel to perform.
---
As to the TPR9 itself, it really is an underrated gun. I have NEVER had a malfunction with either of my Bersa 9mm's, including this one. This reliability combined with a relatively low cost has made the Bersa 9mm line of guns a go-to for me. Add to this the fact that the gun is double-action/single-action, has an external safety/decocker, has a finger pad on the front of the trigger guard, is very easy to disassemble (it has a dedicated take-down lever), is relatively soft-shooting due to the heavy weight, and comes with a decent set of sights, and this thing can compete with any of the "big name" guns on the market.
---
That being said, the TPR9 is not perfect. For one, they (both my TPR9C and this TPR9) come packed in grease and need to be very thoroughly cleaned before being taken to the range. Further, they are fairly bulky (it is about 1.5" wide at the controls) and rather angular when compared with most "modern" designs, making them very uncomfortable to conceal-carry for some people. What's more, the grips can be rather slick if your hands are wet/clamy (though this is easily remedied with aftermarket grip tape, etc). Lastly, the return trigger spring on my smaller Bersa (the TPR9C, but this TPR9 uses the same spring system) recently broke, which is repairable, but fixing the gun when this happens is not overly easy (doable, but not easy).
---
All-in-all, I like my Bersa's, but I look at them realistically: They are budget guns that are reliable and accurate, but they are somewhat uncomfortable to carry, may require third-party grip texturing, and will need replacement springs more often than other, more expensive guns (all handguns will eventually need new springs--Bersa's just tend to need them more frequently). I'd say that the TPR9 is a solid B gun--good but not quite perfect.
