Springfield Armory 1911 Ronin 9MM Pistol 5B 9RD - Stainless/Silver, 5" Barrel, 9 Rounds

This is my first 9mm 1911 purchase, I am very pleased with this pistol. Bud’s shipping was fast as expected. I would recommend this to those looking for a great running 1911.

A quality gun. It shot dead on and was truly reliable. Being a perfectionist, I can't leave it alone, I added grips, extended mag release, and mag well. A lighter variable rate recoil spring for light loads and did a trigger job. 3.5 pounds and smooth. Springfield on the right, Tisas I also bought from buds got more added but also works great.

The 1911 is beautiful and the price was very good. I expect this Springfield to be a shooter. We shall see.

Excellent Firearm, Really Good fit and Finish. This firearm has really good recoil management. I shot this back to back with my Kimber Custom II and Glock 19. Note The Springfield is a bit smoother in operation, however make sure that you know that the Springfield has been setup for a 6 o’ clock hold. The Ronin has combat sights setup for 15 to 25 yards. If you are within 5 to 7 yards your poa/ poi will be off by 2-3 inches. Remember If you are buying this just for within 5-7 yards, you might want to get with Springfield Customer Service and swap over to Target sights for a covered hold with poa/poi.

My springfield ronin 1911 9mm with the 5" barrel is super awesome. Just what I expected it to be. Shoots great no issues. Put about 100 rounds through it. No jams or pipes just great shooting. Love it.!!!! Thank you.!!

I had to send this back to Springfield for warranty repair. It wouldn't cycle more than 3 - 4 rounds without 1 or more FTEs. But Springfield made getting it repaired easy, so can't complain too much. Since getting it back, it has cycled flawlessly with a range of different factory loads. This is a pleasure to shoot and as accurate a pistol as I have shot. This a gorgeous pistol, with the stainless steel frame & the red wood grips. Trigger is phenomenal. Fiber optic front site is easy to pick up. I have another pistol with a fiber optic front site, but the rear site doesn't have dots. The Springfield rear site does, and I find I can acquire a site picture faster with the Springfield. Would definitely have given it 5 stars had I not had to send it back.

I’m happy with this pistol. It is almost perfect to me. The only thing I changed was putting an extended slide stop on it. All of the controls are very positive with the detents being quite good. It is a much better shot than I am. Sights are good. Pistol is not uncomfortable to shoot in any way. Trigger is very good. No crunchiness, no creep, nothing, it just breaks cleanly when you pull the trigger. Note that it comes out of the box extremely tight. Good luck disassembling it the first time. Break the pistol in a little. First time firing it, I had three malfunctions, all failure to feed. Once with the stock magazine, and twice with a Mec-gar. After that, no issues with bulk 124 gr 9mm NATO FMJ or bulk 115 gr 9x19mm FMJ. I don’t know how it responds to extreme fouling or anything. Going to a range and cleaning it after leaves it reliable.

Wanted a 1911 to add to the collection and this fit the bill nicely. Quality piece and all steel, not alloy like some other brands. It is an excellent shooter in 9mm and I am very happy with my purchase.

This gun is amazing best semi auto I have ever bought. I would buy this gun again and again so smooth tight pretty accurate only put 50 rounds through it break in period isn’t over yet . You won’t go wrong buying this gun get one .

Was lucky enough to purchase this hard-to-get pistol with Bud's membership. I've been waiting for an all metal pistol 1911 single stack for 4 years. I'm not disappointed. Finally took it to the range and put 70 factory loads and 30 reloads through it. Hit the bullseye on first shot. Never did that before. with my FNP-9. Subsequent shots shredded the bullseye. Never did that before either. The narrow grip allows my fat Italian hands to get a comfortable grip, and the extra pistol weight allows quick follow up shots without excessive recoil. It is the last pistol I will ever need. Thanks Bud and thanks Springfield armory.
