A great little gun, some of the most fun I’ve had shooting in awhile. Throw on a suppressor and it’s an even better experience. Standard velocity ammo works best, cycles everything I put through it around 1,200 fps. Definitely worth the money.

My cousin had a Beretta Bobcat 22lr back in the dark ages and said I should get one instead of my Ruger LCPII 22lr. So I did, here is how the Beretta 21A Bobcat Covert 22lr stacks up to the Ruger LCPII 22lr: The Bobcat has a 7 round magazine (the Ruger has a 10), is about a 1/4” longer, has a barrel length 0.15” longer, has a threaded barrel extension, about a 1/4” shorter, about 1/2” fatter and about 2 oz heavier (with wooden grips). Both have a manual safety and only the Ruger has a last round hold open slide stop. Both performed well at the range and preferred many brands of ammo (maybe the extra half inch on the treaded Bobcat barrel corrected the well documented finicky ammo preference of the older Bobcats). Both guns liked CCI Standard Velocity 40gr RN ammo, CCI Stinger Varmint 32gr HP ammo, Blazer 40gr RN ammo, and Armscor Precision High Velocity 36gr HP ammo. The Bobcat had minor feed issues with Aquila Super Extra 40gr High Velocity ammo. The Bobcat was more comfortable to shoot with the fatter wooden hand grips and the accuracy of both guns was good (considering the shooter). The Bobcat double action is a nice feature that allows firing the gun without racking and allows a “try again” on a misfire. The Bobcat is a cinch to clean even in the field. The Ruger requires disassembly with small parts to lose. The Bobcat safety and barrel latch were extremely stiff and manual racking is almost impossible with the hammer down (was a whole lot easier with the hammer cocked). The barrel latch did get looser after a few hundred rounds, but the slide removal got almost too loose. I would rate the Bobcat about equal to the Ruger LCPII -- both are well made good guns.

this pistol is very well made no issues whatsoever. Being a 22lr inexpensive to blink around and small to carry on my walks with the dog

This gun with a rimfire suppressor is the bees knees. This one comes with me on every range trip.

A bit finicky, need a good firm hold to get it to cycle well with some ammo, but not as bad as I anticipated. Mostly very cool and good looking.

Had one of these Beretta Bobcats years ago and sold it. Always missed the little guy. Ordered through Buds and it was here in three days. Flawless purchase. Thanks Buds!!

I recently received my Beretta 21A Bobcat 22LR and took it to the range. 22LR in my opinion has always been hit or miss regarding reliability. I was going to use high velocity CCI Stinger ammo until I read through the manual. It says the pistol will function better and have less wear using standard velocity 22 ammo, so I purchased 200 hundred rounds of Magtech 22LR Standard Velocity ammo 40 gr. Once at the range I excepted to have a few malfunctions due a possible break-in period and what I have experienced with other 22LR handguns. To my surprise the Magtech cycled through this handgun flawlessly. I mean I didn't have a single hiccup, nothing. This handgun is very high quality and with the aforementioned ammo was very very reliable. I still plan on testing/running different brands of ammo through it but I was very impressed by this small pocket pistol. Also, this pistol in a soft pocket holster does not print at all, nada. Very concealable. And I would like to give a big thanks to Bud's for consistent, superior service. Thank you and God Bless...

Broken out of the box. Trigger would not move back hammer. Buds took care of it. This is the best company to buy from without a doubt online. Stand behind their reputation. I really wish this would have worked, I have several suppressors that would’ve gone nicely on this. Maybe one day I will visit their store and buy one in person.

Already have a Beretta 21A Bobcat in .22 LR.. The fixed barrel makes this gun unbelievably accurate. Always thought this gun was one of the best pocket self defence handguns in the world. Which if you've seen even half of the competition out there, that's no easy task. It is a compact, and I mean extremely small, all steel (except for grips), auto loading repeater. Now that Beretta has finely listened to its' salesmen, Beretta has closed down what has been a cottage industry of threading the barrel for an 'accessory'; Dulling the finish flat; And the lamented walnut grips are a nice touch. Note: This gun has no extractor. It ejects from fired cartridge pressure. That is how Beretta kept the slide so small & simple. So be advised, you can jack this slide forever & it won't eject the cartridge. The barrel comes grooved with a gasket (To keep attachments from walking off) and a steel thread protector (2 nice touches. Good job Beretta. Now we know why your such a big company.). This already tricked out Bobcat version is the best yet. So I bought a second Bobcat.
