FUN TO SHOOT AND SHARP LOOKING!!

I wanted to try a 1911, but didn't want to spend a fortune to do so. Unfortunately, I probably should have spent a little more and moved up to a Rock Island. After about 300 rounds, the safety became stuck in "safe" mode and couldn't be disengaged. My gunsmith was able to fix it, but this doesn't inspire confidence. Also, I'm still getting several FTFs and FTEs, even after several hundred rounds into it, well beyond the 200-300 "break in" period. And yes, I do keep this 1911 well cleaned and lubed after every trip to the range. Actually, I guess I'm glad I didn't spend more on a 1911. I have to admit, other than the trigger, I just don't like the platform; too fussy, too low a mag capacity. John Browning created a great pistol for sure, but it's still a design over a hundred years old. For the old-timers that like to say the 1911 "won two world wars and then some," come on, really? Rifles win wars, not pistols. Even John Browning created the Hi Power to address the shortcomings of the 1911. I would not trust my life to this pistol. I love the .45 ACP, but my next pistol chambered for that round will be the FNX-45.

Shoots Great however the finish was scratched upon arrival.

When I received my Charles Daley 1911 45 , it really looked great, I finally got it out to the range and wow! Flawless performance and perfect sight accuracy right out of the box. Buds has good deals on everything they sell, but this 1911 is over the top!

After seeing this 1911 at a local big-name store, I checked out Buds and found it for $80.00 less. The online purchase was painless, I received the gun in less than a week. I am happy with this gun and have had no issues with it so far other than a few dents in the brass. This gun is well built and looks good. I was very impressed with my purchase of the Charles Daly field grade 45. I had no problems with it at the range. Very accurate and the price is very good.This is the first time I've bought from Bud's but it won't be the last.
