Love Springfield 1911s. This one is is very well made. Many people like the thin-line grenade grips. I did not. I changed them out to full thickness wood Springfield grips which required a change in grip bushings (which can be tricky). I recommend the Challis grip bushings if you are going to a thicker grip. Also I'm disappointed in the plastic black trigger. What is wrong with a nice black anodized aluminum trigger on a $1200 gun Springfield? I have bought a new Wilson Combat trigger but have not yet installed it. FCG seems great and is breaking in nicely. Trigger is smooth and crisp. Bull barrel fitment is excellent. Slide to frame fitment is excellent. I'm trying to get used to the weird semicircle rear sight. Look at the sight picture before you buy so you won't be surprised. Overall a great firearm. This has got to be one of the smoothest non hand fitted 1911’s I have ever owned. Didn’t jam a single time during break-in and I was able to get a sub 1” group at 20-25 feet. Normally Springfield Armory doesn’t really impress me but they definitely got this one right. Its comparable with my Detonics and my Vickers Tactical. My only complaint is that the slide is a finger print magnet. Cerakote instead of high polish would make it a much better carry choice. Other 1911 makers should take notes on/from the Emissary. It shoots as well as it looks….

Liked the 4.25" so much I got the 5" flavor. Fantastic grips. Sticks to the hand like fly paper without feeling too aggressive (is there such a thing?). I highly recommend and the flat trigger is deceivingly light in pull.

I clicked the wrong item initially, and after contacting customer service, Bud's came through for me, and corrected it. Thank you! Always purchase from Bud's! The gun itself is awesome. Took it to the range and after one shot, was within 3 inches of center at 25 feet for next seven shots. Great grips, and comfortable in your hand. Shot 80 rounds thru it with zero issues. Very accurate sights, right out of the box. Surprisingly, not a huge kick. Highly recommend it if you want a 1911 ACP. 3rd Springfield, beautiful gun. Can't go wrong!

Buds gun shop is awesome. This is the 1st time I've bought a gun online and with this company. Everything went smoothly. I got the gun in 2 days and walked out of my local gun shop the same day the gun showed up. Very impressed. The gun is beautiful. I have not had a chance to go to the range yet, but the fit and finish of this gun is fantastic. It almost feels like a custom 1911.
