Out of the box, the action was smooth and quick. The fitment of the stock was better than any synthetic stock I have seen. It is an all around quality firearm that Im sure will serve my family for generations. Just like the Remingtons of the past. Remington being my actual middle name had no infulence on this review. I highly reccomend this for a ruggged field or blind gun.
