The Beretta M1951 is a very rare pistol in the United States, and it is Historically significant as Beretta’s first locked breech designed pistol. This design paved the way for Beretta to eventually design and produce the famous Beretta 92. The Model 1951 was produced from 1953 to 1980.

These particular surplus guns are in good condition.  They will show signs of use and wear, but will be 100% functional.

I was very pleased with this purchase. For being a surplus pistol it showed some wear which is to be expected. it has nice a patina, if only it could talk. it was everything Buds described. Will not hesitate to buy from Buds again.

Very satisfied with this purchase. This Barretta M1951 arrived in very good condition for its age. As usual, it was a hassle free purchase from Buds.

This was my first purchase as a team buds member. The parkarized finish was heavily warn on the right side of the slide from holster wear. I was able to strip the parkarized coating with rust and blue remover(worked well) re blued the slide and now its beautiful.

Great piece of history. The pistol was in "good" condition as advertised, both cosmetically and mechanically sound. The service at Bud's is always prompt, professional and a pleasure to do business.

I purchased two m1951 9mm Berettas. The guns were in good condition for 45 year old surplus firearms much better than I expected. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH BOTH GUNS. SO MUCH SO THAT I JUST PURCHASED ONE OF THE BERETTA 85BB MODELS, I LOOK FORWARD TO RECEIVING AND REVIEWING IT. STAY TUNED

Fast shipping. I am very pleased with my purchase. As with all my used Berettas (not just from Buds), they need a good cleaning upon arrival. There was a little rust in places and the grips (around the screws) appear to be scraped/chipped. Maybe the original owner did not have the correct screw driver. I have not had a chance to shoot it but overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Michael, The Modello 1951 (M1951) was the first Beretta chambered for the 9 x 19mm (Parabellum) cartridge and also their first locked-breach pistol. This semi-automatic pistol was first placed on the market and adopted by the Italian Armed Forces in 1957. A commercial version, known as the M951 Brigadier, was produced for sale on the civilian market. Retaining traditional Beretta characteristics, the M1951 introduced a locked breach to handle the high-pressure 9mm Parabellum, a lengthened slide for improved balance, and a single column, 8-round magazine, ergonomic finger-rest extension. The M1951 was only produced with forged steel frames.

Matthew, Even though these guns were made from the 50s to 1980. When a surplus batch comes through they are pretty much the same age. This batch appears to be from the mid 70s.
