In 1981, Gaston Glock assembled a team of engineers and designed his first firearm. The result was submitted to the Austrian Army pistol trials and won the contract in 1982. The Army then designated the first GLOCK as the Pistole 80. These guns were later known commercially as "G17s" and were only available in the US market for two years until the "Gen2" model was introduced in 1988. P80 marked GLOCKs were never imported into the United States.

Well, I like Glock models, and although probably never a real collector’s item, it was fun to get this retro issue. Hey, it’s a Glock. Love it.

Great collector gun, comes with the "Tupperware" box and a really nice cardboard box. If you want a shooter get a newer version with a grip that doesn't feel like a bar of soap. If you want a classic Glock, don't hesitate.

Super fast shipping. Nice clean looking Glock with lots of nostalgic "case candy" and a certificate of authenticity. Texture on the frame/grip is a bit less aggressive then the new GEN 5 which I have found to be way more comfortable. No more rubber sleeve for long sessions or multiple day shoots. No ambi slide lock. Like the original it has one in the traditional right side configuration. Flat extractor vs the newer version. This one is made in Austria.

Great collectors item and a joy to shoot! The box came in great condition. Overall, this was a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it.

A very well made reproduction of the first glock pistol. Compared to an original gen 1 G17, there are a few differences but they are so minor you wouldn’t notice unless you placed them side by side. Considering Glock had to completely remake the mold for this gun they did a great job getting it as close as possible to the original pistol, if you want a cool novelty/collector’s pistol that shoots just as good as any other Glock then I highly recommended getting it.

A must have for a military arms collector or a Glock fan. The whole package came in perfect condition and nothing was damaged. Buds shipped quickly, would recommend!
